Don't you just hate it when people buy an item on eBay then don't pay for ages without any message to the seller?

This is personally one of my worst pet peeves, I mean you would go to the check out at ASDA/Walmart and say "How much? £/$100?" then leave the shop without saying anything and go in a week later and settle up would you?

I don't so much mind the late payment its the no acknowledgement when doing so... i mean its just manners and common sense. Right?

Manners go out of the window when using online services. People can't see you so they don't care. It's the same with doing things over the phone. People are more likely to rant and rave over the phone than in person as they have no connection to that person on the other end so feels nothing towards them, other than anger because their phone/gas/electric bill is wrong.

You really shouldn't let it get to you. There are far worse things happening on the internet than people not paying immediately. You also have to remember that not everyone has the chance to jump on a computer every day.

this is one of my pet peeves when I buy something I pay as some as it has ended I have item ive sold that are still waiting on payments one month later ive ended up giving up and not selling anymore

I put on my description that it has to be paid within certain amount of days

Yes very frustrating, especially when you're selling something as you need the money.
I was going to try the immediate payment route but didn't want to put people off bidding.

I always send an invoice, wait three days then send a reminder. If they don't respond then I open a non-payer case and let ebay deal with it.

I thought the invoice is sent automatically after two/three days? I too wait even tho I find this annoying, After a few more days of no communication or payment I will open a non payer case through ebay.

I hate the time it wastes. And you can't even cancel the item for that reason.

If it's bin item the. You can require immediate payment

Whenever I bid or buy it now on an item, I've paid that instant. To me I want to receive the item ASAP hence why I'll pay it there and then, doesn't make sense to prolong it in my opinion.

had a guy win an auction and then explain he needed 3 months to pay for it but could i ship it straight away

This person just bought an item off me Tuesday and he didn't pay for a whole 24hrs and I just got an email saying that they will pay Friday.... how does that work? I tend to only buy things if I can pay for them but maybe that's an outdated concept.

This is one thing that really gets to me. You wouldn't walk into a shop and leave your goods at the till to pay 3 days later !

If its an early bid that wins then fair enough but when you've just bid and won in the last 10 seconds and don't pay thats different.

I always put in the listing that payment must be made within 24 hours or the auction will be cancelled.

Nobody reads the descriptions anymore because so many are on mobile devices, and reading is too challenging. Almost all the complaints I've had over the last few years have been due to people not reading the description at all. Wouldn't bother me so much if they handled it like adults, I've even bought stuff in a hurry and made the same mistake and I just take it on the chin, but 9 out of 10 will twist reality so their ignorance and stupidity is somehow your fault... and of course eBay lets sellers walk all over buyers. Used to love eBaying but it's become such a chore.

You need to look a way from the mirror more often, you'll love the other people you see.

That sounds so sad WW. Lots matters for your sense of self. Look at the gift thread and see all the great things with your avatar name on peeps want to gift you.

Of course if you mean material stuff is ultimately irrelevant. Then I'm with you there. Perhaps that's because for the first time in years I am not worrying about money.
