as if that wasn't bad enough, my father, who did just this, actually had a moan at me a few weeks earlier when something i ordered arrived in the post, thinking i had bought something for myself (it was actually his present but i couldn't tell him that).

*sigh*

Yea, my dad used to do that all of the time

If you know its christmas or your birthday coming up then you shouldnt buy yourself anything, no matter how good the offer, no matter whether you dont think anyone will get you it or not!

There's enough time for you to return what you bought and buy him something else?

oh its not that big a deal really, the item he got is only a few quid, and mine is better (cost just over £10) than his, so i'll still give it to him and he can throw his cheapo one away. Plus he has other presents.

It's annoying when that happens, I still got loads of Christmas shopping to do. But I'm risking the rest of the shopping for Christmas Eve!:santa:
