Hello everyone.

My dad has very kindly let me use his log in to post this message. I am 15 years old and am saving to go on a world challenge expedition with my School to the Maya Route in Mexico in 2008. I am currently fundraising hard to acheive my goal although, being 15 years old I am too young to work other than a paperround, which I have two already.

I am asking anyone who can assist to donate £1... yep £1.... with 29,899 members that would be more than enough as I have to raise £3,500 to go on this month long trip. Mum and Dad have been contributing a regular payment each month, but I would like to raise the majority myself...

If you can afford to donate £1, or even more if you can afford to! please pvt message to this email and I will send you the necessary paypal details.

thank you for taking the trouble to read this message and for your support.

Love Amy x

Hi JezzaP,

We don't really allow this type of solicitation on the site. I know some may have worthy causes but it isn't the focus of this site to sort through which causes are worth supporting and which are not. I would recommend you set up something like a justgiving.com account and do a local campaign to raise funds.

Dear Admin,

Thanks for letting me know. I'll pass the message on to my daughter.

Everyone would have to use funds already in their Paypal account otherwise we'd all just be giving 1p to Paypal not you anyway.

1p x 30,000 members = £300 not £3000 :)

May I suggest you do what my daughter did when she raised funds for such a venture..they struck a deal with the local *********'s to do bag packing and allow customers to donate as they pleased..it's amazing how much they raised..they also went around the estate offering a car washing service and that also reaped a lot of cash.

Thanks for the advice. She has already done some bag packing and car parking attendant duty... she has written to national companies and received vouchers etc for a charity raffle... this was just another avenue for her! Richard Bransoneat your heart out

yeah looks like its been edited

Sorry edited message as 1p gets taken by paypal as fee so she wouldn't actually get anything if someone donated!

well all the paperpersons around me are deffo under 16 so maybe it's down to the policy of the newsagent.

Perhaps all members would donate just 5p each so I can have a grand summer holiday....well it's worth a try.
