What a load of rubbish. I'm very sure she slept right through getting those tattoos on her face.

Rouslan, who runs the tattoo parlour called The Tattoo Box in Courtrai, said Kimberley was awake and actually looked in the mirror several times during the procedure to see how it was going.
He said she knew 'exactly what she wanted'.
'The trouble all started when she went home and her father and boyfriend threw a fit.

Jules Clocher, a Belgian psychologist, said: 'The trauma this girl must be feeling is indescribable. She feels like a circus freak - and no wonder, because she looks like one.'

lol, harshness!!!

Why not? He's clearly a man who knows, loves, and is dedicated to his art. I'd take him over the meek dude with a celtic ring around his arm any day.

Because you might end up with a face full of tattoos

All tattoo artists that ive seen always have tattoos all over their face and body.
#17
Having read it through.. the tattooist should have got written permission before he tattooed her. Her signature. It looks like she loved it until she realised she was gonna be in trouble for doing it.

The best tattoo story I know was 'supposed' to have happen in the US a few years back...

4 big biker chicks go in and ask for 'Satan's Slaves' putting across their chests.
He's done 2 of them before they notice that what he's actually put is 'Stan's Slaves'...
The tattooist admitted, after the cops stop the girls beating him up, that he was dyslexic and only normally did pictures !!
The girls said it made them look 'silly'. . .

Fair point.

It's just something that's felt kinda relevant to me recently. I was at the opticians last week, and I noticed that the lass who was about to show me how to put soft lenses in wasn't wearing glasses. I casually asked if she wore lenses herself, to which she replied that she didn't. I know I'm weird and slightly neurotic about these sorts of things, but when someone's about to poke me in the eyes and put a peice of plastic over my retina, I really want for them to have first hand experience of regularly poking themselves in the eyes first. Same goes for anyone who's going to put a tattoo on me. Or cut my hair.

As it was though, she had a nice rack, so I didn't complain.

Haha this made me laugh. As if she fell asleep, blatantly a case of got home and the parents went mental so she blurted out that she fell asleep!! Silly girl. Mind you, when I got tattoed I had to give signed consent, so he's learned his lesson the hard way there!
#23
she didn't fall asleep it would be way painful when going over her cheek bone and other sensitive areas. she just an idiot who thought it would look good to get stars on her face but when shes realises she looks like a **** and daddy isnt gonna be happy, she goes an makes a stupid story up to get her **** outta trouple and to drop the tattooist into sh1t
#24
thats one of the cruddiest tats ive ever seen hes not even done a good job!! :s

the story did make me laugh alot tho!!!!

Typical shoddy journalism, £8500 to remove them by lazer? I don't think so... about £200 with e-raze and no scars. The falling asleep story is brilliant, I might try that next time I come home with a really bad haircut!

yes, I read it. I agree it has no credibility... however this man wants to pay half the cost for her to have it lasered out? Why? If he had her siggy in writing, he could say..... I aint payin nothing, you got what you asked for. He's being a nice guy about it and good for him.

I actually think he's being a mug, to be honest.

No Tattooist is going to request that all customers sing and agree to a description of the work they will be undertaking - no way. For one thing, it only opens up another huge can of worms with people possibly suing over works that don't meet with the description afforded to the proposed agreement.

Sign of the times unfortunately.

A mug.... possibly.

He's getting a lot of publicity though and good or bad that's always a positive thing.

Also, it's a different culture so prolly best not to make a value judgement as to whether he's allowing himself to be walked over regarding the money. For him, it's got to be more important that his customers feel happy and confident in his work. I can understand that, it's cool.

Agree as to the legal repercussions of obtaining a siggy. I guess there would have to be a pic, a description and a legal warning attached to the agreement also.

One of my hubby's friends is a tattooist, I wonder what tatooists themselves think about the case. Will have to ask.
