well im quitting mine! It's a total waste of time. Most of the peopel there are old and hence have no ambition. Not a good place for young people who want to progress and make a difference. Plus with the whole restructuring going on, no one knows what is actually happening.

there are MANY more reasons!

I personally think it's a very bad time to quit your job considering we're in/going in recession. With so many job losses in the past few weeks and many more job losses around the corner, the future doesn't look exactly bright for employment.

There will be a hell of a lot more competition for jobs that you could ever imagine now as well as the fact that companies are recruiting less people. I think you should reconsider and stay with Logica a little while longer until things get a little better. If you do decide to quit then all I can say is good luck!

...and no I'm not Andy Green! lol

lol - thanks Andy.

I've actually already got something in the works job wise. I cant say what exactly as so many clues might give away who I am to ceertain people! You make a good point though - if you dont have anything else lined up do NOT quit your job however bad it may be. The problem is that the recruiters are promising well above what is actually delivered. Damn those recruiters.

sorry I cant say. why do you ask ?

I see. Well, it doesnt matter where you work ... I've been in 4 different locations (of Logica office) over the last 3 weeks and its the same wherever you are ... even if you are working from home. The problem arent the offices or locations, its the whole ethos.

Good Luck Cyrus, i haven't worked for nearly 7 month's.

I know what you are saying about fitting in, i would rather work for myself.

I find it hard to find people who understand me and my ways.

I am going to the job centre on Thursday and i am dreading it, i haven't been to the job centre since January and i am already getting anxious about going.

i know exactly how you feel. I used to get anxious like you but the world of office work makes you more resistant against management , your peers etc.

I have to say I am in no way looking to work for a company for the rest of my life if I can help it. I want to run my own business and be my own boss as I feel I am entrepenural like that.

Best of luck with the job search and let us know if you need any advice !!!
