It's a lovely dress, but if you're not used to wearing dresses perhaps this is a step too far?? Why not go for a similar dress in a prom style which is really in fashion at the moment and is like this but rather than being full length they stop just below the knee. These are really on trend at the moment and you're probably more likely to feel comfortable in that than a full length one which is quite "bridesmaidy" and you won't have to worry about tripping over it. Also, perhaps try straps too to make you a bit comfier if you're not used to dresses. This one from Debenhams is lovely, something like this. Good Luck!!

Or this one,

Go shopping with someone you know you can trust, to somewhere like Debenhams, and just take in ARMS of dresses to try on and find the one you feel the comfiest in.

Pink's not my colour but I like the dress - and as for covering your arms, what about a pink/black satin shrug?

I know, crazy when you'll probably only wear it once. If you want to save a bit, just type "pink prom dress" into ebay and there's loads of that sort of style on there.

It's a lovely dress, but - you said honestly - if you're not used to a dress without straps, I think you'll be conscious of it all the time. I'm sure it would look super but you have to feel confident all evening. If you're thinking of covering your arms with something as well, then I should keep looking.

Can you post a piccy before you go out to the party?
#37
I deffo will!! My OH has to wear blue suit, its blue and pink theme... with fountain and fruit evening i think its going to be. Choccy fountain and platters of fresh fruit.

Imagine that down my dress! LOL
#38
Well to be honest.......I don't like the dress, think it is a bit princessy. But it's what you like. I'd go for something a bit plain and dress it up with jewellery. The lace up back is flattering but I don't like the beading. :|
