Hard to follow what you are trying to say??

If you update any driver the only change you will see is in device manager the device will have the new driver number and the date it was made other than that there will be no changes to everything else.

Or if really new the symbol/icon might have changed too

in device manager, it still says same date as before but has new updated driver

says driver date 22/10/2008
driver version 5.10.38.26 which is the one i just downloaded

same for the display driver

driver date 17/09/2008
driver version 8.533.0.0 which i just downloaded

Dont be daft just resart it lol

You can always do a system restore in other words you can turn the computer back in time before you installed it

Just do windows update and dell updates or put your TAG number into dell`s site and let it update then it will sort itself out

You should be fine then may have to reboot a few time.

But to check go to Device manger then hardware in there will be a list of all hardware and there should not be any ? marks or ! symbols on any item

everytime i rebooted it said it could not find a file, so i have restored, there is no ?/! marks, its just it keeps dropping my connection and it isnt the livebox, so thought ide check drivers via dell site, who show an updated version, so did them both as it said, think its best i stop meddling now
