Lol :giggle:

Awww! Well done honey!! When's your next lesson? :)

Just like many things in life it's much easier with confidence ( The only way to get this is through PRACTISE ) I would be very worried if you were not scared/confused after your first lesson...you will be fine. In a couple of lessons time you will be enjoying it..........

that reminds me

I was on a lesson on the a dual carriage way in London (busy busy busy)

I was an experience to say the least especially with vans flying around the place at 50+ MPH.

keep at it. gets alot better after a few lessons

Yeah, as Simon has said, it gets easier and less scary the more time you spend behind the wheel. Keep it up and you will soon get used to it.

Good luck with the 2 hour lessons - i used to have those as well - best for experience but my legs absolutely killed afterwards

It's good that you're scared - it really is a scary thing! Never ever lose your fear of the roads, you'll become too complacent and take risks. Sorry if I sound all doom and gloom, it is fun too!

I hate roundabout, too many people in the wrong lanes.
Once there was someone in the left lane trying to go all the way round the 3 laned roundabout
#9
just passed my hgv test so watch out car users!!!!

And if you do ever feel intimidated, open two doors to imitate a charging elephant flaring it's ears.

Just had my second lesson, it was a 2 hour one, i got in the car and he said to me just swtch seats and i had to drive the car like half an hour to an industrial estate then at end of lesson drove is all the way home!! it was the best thing ever!!!!!
#32
I just got my provisional license, so I will be starting soon
#33
yeah, it is scary in the beginning, after that it becomes pleasure, just believe in your skills
#34
Aprently if you do your test and your stuck in traffic for 40 mins, and dont do anything wrong you'll pass, without doing any moves (reverse round corner etc)
#35
that's true add-man, but the test people are clever, they'll make you drive off the traffic, so you'll end up in swervy narrow roads which to me is lot more nastier.

Passed my test this month, but already, even I don't think I'm ready to take on the road by myself. Some drivers take the p!!! because believe me or not, everyone breaks the speed limit, so it encourages you to break it as well (they beep if you don't). Not forgetting to mention if you drive at night, which I do these days from work, you WILL SEE DRUNK PEOPLE ON THE ROAD. Bloody had to literally swerve off the road once (didn't react fast enough for emergency break) because they ran out like idiots. There were even drunk drivers, who dont know which lane they were in, left and right on the motorway... yeah, all happened within 3 weeks of passing.... no wonder many 18 year olds crash and stuff - they get scared from these other drivers and drunks.

In the end, they wrecked my confidence and I fear driving at night... :(

Oh and a tip from me - keep checking mirrors every so often. Sight and safety is more important than speed!!!
tip 2 - NEVER get nervous, you will make mistakes if you do. Once you do get nervous, its hard to carry on without making more mistakes, so remain calm - dont swear; let the instructor do that for you :D:D:D:D:D
