Driving Theory Test

Well, I want to book my theory test as soon as I can.

I have my provisional driving licence but i'm only 16 and 11 months.

I've been told as long as I have my PDL + Counterpart I can book my theory before im 17 and do it.

Can anyone confirm this?

rep awaits people who give me a solid answer.

Don't know but i suggest you have driving lessons first as i got better knowledge off lessons.

the earliest you can book your theory if you are an average person is on your 17th birthday

...by average i mean without disabilities or something like that

i had my provisional licence way before my 17th; but i could only take my theory on my 17th b'day, which i did.

Oh, also, when I go on the booking form, I can get past the first part and go onto actually booking it.

Just found this on a website...
Can I take my car theory test before my 17th birthday?
No. You can only take your theory test once your provisional licence becomes valid. For a car this will be your 17th birthday. You can, however book your theory test before your 17th birthday.

Candidates in receipt of Disability Mobility Allowance at the higher rate may take their theory test before their 17th birthday as long as they have a valid provisional licence.

Hope it helps.

i know you can book a driving lesson 3 days before you 17 :)
#16
i think you can book it but cant sit it untill your 17

I would advice however that you don't take it until you've started having some lessons. You might not take to it, might have problems, or maybe a million and one reasons why you dont end up taking your driving test within 2 years of the test.

Theory is relatively straight forward if you revise, I'd get some driving in first...
