Strange I'm only one to pick up on this, but the plates have to stay on till he's passed his practical :?

Most plates stay on long after this from what I've seen. How many people teach others and leave L plates on all the time. It is an offence with a £60 fine i believe.

Makes me chuckle driving down the motorway and to see all the single car drivers with L plates. They are just asking to get pulled up.

Done mine last week its pretty easy. The multiple choice could probably be passed without even studying for it as its mostly common sense.

The hazard perception is the tricky bit but if he stays calm and doesn't panic, he will be fine. Good luck

Veeeeeeeeeery easy if you just practice using the test cds. I got to the point where I knew the answer to every question and the only new questions I came across were just ones I'd been through before, just worded differently. Got 100% no problem

All about revising from the DVDs/CDs before hand - and he'll do fine.

Good luck!

I lost a mark on my theory because one of the questions wasn't in the damn official book I had bought, peed me right off. Was about traffic lights with a tram light on it.

I mean the theory test discs,he got some 3 disc boxset.
We not even got a car of our own or what he is practising in so we don't own any L plates if thats what you mean.

And you probably don't even live anywhere where there are tram tracks and not likely to be going anywhere there are trams... some questions don't really apply to everyone but I suppose they put them in for those that it might.

Thanks 4 everyone's comments,I'm off out soon to go meet him so we can catch train over. I'm taking the highway code book in my bag so he can have a practise over the rd signs. So yeh hopefully all goes well at 6pm onwards.
Will report back about 9.30pm or so.

Hope all goes well :)

I should really be studying more so I can get mine over with. Only done the hazard perception once, but the multiple choice I have done a few times and seem fine with.

You have to pay each time for the theory, but I got a package when I started my lessons that gets me as many attempts as it takes to pass - but I am hoping to pass first time!
#31
Ok he passed - phew, glad didn't have the £29 to pay again.

48 out of 50 for multiple choice part and 56 out of 75 for hazard perception.

Time 4 a late dinner and watch some tv - Project Runway on pause, then My Name is Earl later on and then Skins.
