My little girl is getting a DS for her birthday - does anyone have any suggestions for games I could get her to play?

Dora the explorer?
Is your daughter a "girly" girl, or does she not pander to other people's opinions of stereotypical game-play?

There are currently 804 options for the advisory content rating of "3+" in the Pan European Game Information [PEGI] database for Nintendo DS titles:

...but do not base your opinion solely on the proposed age limit stamped on the cover.

Gender neutral options my kids played for many years (from the same age [& younger])...

"Animal Crossing: Wild World"
"Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force"
"Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games" (also now "...at the Winter Olympic Games")
"New Super Mario Bros."

Plus various iterations of "LEGO" (Star Wars, Harry Potter [more recent], Indiana Jones, & Batman), "Pokémon" (too numerous to list/understand!), "SpongeBob Squarepants" (many!), & "Nicktoons" (Unite!, Attack of the Toybots, & Battle for Volcano Island) titles.

...good luck! :)

We got our girls who were 4 & 5 at the time all the girly young games! Only one they play is Super New mario,
All of them adore it, from the 2 yr old to the 31 yr old.
My little lad loves and completed the Toy Story 3 Game !!
My daughter loves the Pippa Funnell games where you have to look after a horse. I was a big fan of the Nintendogs Labrador :)
my little ones both loved peppa pig games as they are very good for those who cant read yet as everything is spoken rather than text. also they go mad for mario kart and rythym paradise
