Hi all.

Looking for some new games for the kids.

My daughter is nearly 7 and can read well but is not so clued up on computer games so am looking for some games that are quite easy she will like

My son is 4 and a half and can't read. He can sit and get on with 'I did it mum' as it doesn't involve reading and I can set his up to race on 'Disney Cars' but that's it. Want something that he can get on with by himself as we will be travelling soon (with me driving so cant help)

Haven't bought any games for months so I don't know what's good out now

Thanks all

I finished it lol my daughter is getting through it slowly though :)

Really enjoyed it, great for kids as the words come up and they hear them spoken too in the story, the puzzles arent said aloud though, they have to read em. :)

it might be, in places... I'll ask my daughter tonight what her fav games are...

Ohh I know "My Sims" is pretty easy?

If it's to keep them busy while you drive, I always buy the kids a new CD each they get to have on in the car, a new magazine ( could be picture books ) and take their portable DvD players with them ( they can use headphones if the noise is too much ) and put plenty of colouring/writing/drawing materials in the backs of the seats. Also you can get little versions of games such as connect four or play travelling games such as the first one who sees 20 red cars gets to choose the next activity. Ipods, mobile phones etc.

Also pack them some healthy snacks and drinks and leave them in the pockets of the door so they can reach them easily without disturbing you and plan to stop for a run at a park or at least a walk round a service station, if they start becoming boisterous after 2/3 hours x x x

Thanks very much for the tips, can't have CD's as my player is really funny with 'copied CD's' which usually means the kids ones don't play. Will get them a magazine each and drawing stuff - have a built-in DVD player which they would happily watch the whole journey but am trying to avoid that if possible :giggle:

alfie and harrys mum
super mario
mario party
scooby doo
peppa pig
all great games

Thank you :)
Who would Scooby Doo be more suitable for?

i have experienced blood sweat and tears triying to get DS games for my 5 year old which involves no reading skills.

the most basic i have found is electroplancton - click on various sea creatures and move the stylus around the screen to produce music - foolproof and a clever concept

build a bear - but needs a bit of explaining

postman pat game sare good too

nintendogs - my 5yr old find this quiet hard, she clicks around not really knowing what she is doing.

i did it mum - lots of little games, no reading required

crayloa games eg treasure island, brilliant, put together jigsaws or do colouring and earn crayons for your onscreen colouring book.
