Or search for specific processors here

Why is i3 better?

Is i5 not in laptops ?

i was under the impression an i3 is a dual core with hyper threading, therefore i3 would be better. although i may be wrong.

Intel have completely revamped their CPU range and are now introducing a new range of CPUs.

They are called Intel Core and there is the i3 and i5 and i7 (i3 are the "slowest" and i7 are the "fastest"). They are available for laptops and desktops.

Some are dual core and some are quad core.

i3 for laptops come in 2 models - i3 330m and i3 350m (350m is faster of the two).

Core i3s are faster than some "old" Intels (Pentium Dual Core, Core 2 duo) and slower than some other Core 2 Duo.

The i3 does run cooler, can overclock and underclock itself, and has the graphics on board the chip (some).

As these are the "future" for Intel chips you are probably better getting an Intel Core cpu than an "old" Pentium Dual Core or Core 2 Duo (this is only a very general "rule").
