I vote Tesco. Characterless, bland stores, big blue, red and white signs everywhere, naked ceilings showing off the air conditioning ducts. Nice...

Considering Asda keeps playing the same 3 tunes for months at an end, and keep announcing ASDA price (im already here buying stuff, shut up!), it rather they play nothing at all

Lidl annoys me as i keep having to reach over pallets and rip off shrink wrap for something (surely that isnt MY job?)

Neither is scanning them i thought but most if not all the supermarkets do it now. Wont be long before they have a few employees unloading trucks...and then its self serve after that, no shelves just pallets of items.

yes, i dont get that, I see self scan in asda, it doesnt even seem to save time, and staff are also hovering about making sure people dont 'nick' stuff, I never use it and cannot see the point
Using it only encourages shops to give less service i think.

I think next they will expect me to grow my own spuds and charge me for them

Tesco gets the dullest vote from me - such a boring shop. Its a nothing shop - not bad not good.
I like morrisons with the 'market stalls'
I like ASDA for the fantastically cheap deals and steak pizza
I like Aldi - always something new to look at.

Self scan does save time and staff, I used to hate them but they do save time, in Asda anyway. One staff member watches a group of about 6 self serve checkouts. The only thing I don't like about the Asda ones is the voice is far too loud and really grates on my nerves.

But I like how you can buy Red Delicious apples and put them through as cheaper ones! (heheh)
