Duty free tobacco

Hi to my fellow misc'ers, quick question........I'm off to Amsterdam at the end of this month for the first time, my friend has asked me to get him some tobacco from duty free. Is it cheaper to get this on the way out or from Schipol on the way back? And does anyone know whether I can get Amberleaf or Golden Virginia at Schipol?
Any advice gratefully received : ]

Tobacco is price regulated in the NL...buy it in a tobacco shop, grocery store, or corner gas station..it is priced the same.

Prices are government regulated so are the same everywhere. As Ron has said, at the airport on the way back may well be your best option. There is a spermarket landside called food village which has a good selection just be the checkout.

As Amsterdam is within the EU, you will not be able to buy tobacco at the airport - duty free is eligible for those flying outside the EU.

The one problem you will have if you are buying two different brands or more is customs. You have to say it is for your own consumption. That is if you bring more than they think is reasonable. This is only to warn you, you will be held responsible, you might get through without any stops being made by customs but all bags are X-rayed from certain destinations.
Also if it is tobaccos they can ask you to roll one, to see if you have the technique and the papers etc.
Anything you can purchase here you will find in Amsterdam so yes you will find Amberleaf
