Anyone have any reccomendations?

Do a google search and like any application theres a thousand different ones that look a bit dodgey.

So appreciate anyone who uses one on a regular occasion.

search for DVD shrink which is free and very easy to use. It rips it to an iso if you want to as well.

If when you have them you want to convert them to other files I use two programs. The first is handbrake which i think can be found on handbrake.fr and is quite powerful and free but I also bought a program called "movavi" recently for about £25 which does the lot and makes things a little easier too.

"* Disclaimer. Movavi Video Converter does not allow you to copy, rip or convert copy-protected or encrypted CDs/DVDs"

edit: sorry that was the video converter, I didn't realise there was an additional ripping software on the site too.

ah maybe i didnt make it clear. I use DVD shrink to rip the DVD (copy protection and all) and then use MovAvi to convert it to files I use (avi/wmv xbox compatible etc).

I rip 10-20 DVDs a week.

I use:
Anydvd (runs in the background) to strip the copy protection
Anydvd to rip the video file from the DVD
Handbreak to encode (straight from DVD)/batch encode (multiple files) to H.264 to play back from my media streamer.

Its the easiest combiniation ive come across.
