DVLA advice

I got caught for speeding by unmarked police car Feb 05. Moved house 5 months after offence. Had no communication from police till April 07 on new address. Went to court same month and got 8 points (was doing 104 mile). Licence endorsed within few months with two identical lines of offence date Feb 05, Conviction Jun 05 ( didn't appear in court that time as didn't know). DVLA guidance that points stay for 4 years of offence date. Submitted after 5 years to be in the safe side. Just had my new licence with single line and dates all missed up of offence Jul 06!!!, conviction April 07 (when went to court 2nd time). Is this correct? I did not make any other offences at all. Is it to do with my court absence first time which I was never informed with. If it is I was never given the chance to defend my self against this, and the code is a speeding offence code! can someone explain to me how does this work?

Points are from the conviction date.

you ought to be locked up and the key thrown away.. 104mph in a 20 zone is unforgivable :whistling:
