Help my Dyson D14 hoover has ended? What is best Dyson or a Henry hoover? Has anyone got any good prices for both so I can compare? I have heard henry hoovers are excellent but unsure as they are only 1200 watt????? I have two dogs and 4 adults so we do have mess!!!!!!

Id recommend a Miele. We have one its its better then any Dyson weve owned, and actually lasted so far around 3 years and still picks up as well as the day we purchased it.
Although I did have an industrial one like a henry but bigger, and that I believe is still going but was too big for our needs as it was designed for halls of residence!

We have had a henry and a dyson, the dyson wins, simply for the fact that the attachements are much better (The pole attachments for the henry kep coming loose).

I've got the George which is also a carpet cleaner... ideal for little accidents!

Bought mine from Makro and get the solutions off Ebay (phoned the makers direct and they suggested getting from there as cheaper!).

It's got a dusting brush on it which I also use on the dog to brush him, comes up lovely and shiny... as does the house, lol.
Cracking hoover, definately would buy again if it brakes :)

I was given a 10 year old Sebo vacuum and its the best vacuum i've ever had
It uses bags but it's build to last you a life time not a year or so like newer dysons

dont dysons come with a five year guarantee:thumbsup:

Why not just pay £69 for a Dyson engineer to come out to your house and replace anything that's gone wrong with your DC14.

Flat rate including all parts, call out etc

Neither are by Hoover

Not sure but my friends motor went and they said she'd used it on the wrong sort of floor so wasn't covered

thats terrible!!! I have a Dyson all floors Animal model and its great does all floors - but the one I had years ago only done carpets - not hard floors, so maybe thats what happened with your friend.

Get a Henry. Then you don't have to worry about it breaking down.

this might be a good place for my cleaner wanted ad

cleaner wanted in exchange for a week's stay at Isle of Man
Lots of cleaning to be done so you might get last day to yourself
But unlikely as i'm constantly making more mess :whistling:

PM me :-D

Seriously though, one of my friends just doesnt care what your house looks like - and everytime I go I roll up my sleeves and get stuck in! She probably only invites me over cause she knows I am a clean freak and will sort it all for her!!

Sometimes though I wish I just didnt bother as they say that a sign of a clean house, is a sign of a wasted life :-(

Hope so, only set out to take down the wallpaper and got a bit carried away

haha!! A year past christmas I ordered a new freezer - when it arrived I thought it made the rest of the kitchen look old.....................well.......................fast forward a couple of hours and I had ripped away cupboards, taken off worktops - just went mental lol.

I went out that day and bought new kitchen doors - couple of new units, work tops, new flooring, sink - wallpaper  - and all this two weeks before christmas. But it all looks fantastic now!

I better get back off to work now!
