I've received an e-mail from Virgin which I can't open or delete. Every time I try Outlook Express crashes, and I receive the dialog box saying Program Not Responding. Has anyone else ever had this, and are there any suggestions as to whats causing it, and how I can delete the email?? Many thanks!

Can you access it through webmail instead?

Hi rose_cat_jr
Good thought, but no. Once an e-mail has been received by outlook express it disappears from webmail.

Try mozilla thunderbird? may be able to open the message with that....

if it lets you import your messages from outlook that is!

I thought it only went when it was opened? Sorry, speaking from memory here, I have had a mac for some years.

its a setting within outlook, you can choose to leave a copy on the server, but if this is not selected it just takes it off the server for its own selfish uses!!

When my outlook used to crash, once re started it wouldn't open the last message and I'd get a popup asking me if I wanted to open it. Not that that is any help to you at all. lol. was just wondering how come your outlook isn't doing it.

Hi esq3585,
Have gone to My computer, C Drive, Programs, Outlook Express, MSIMN file, but unable to delete from there. Is there another route I should be following??

Hi,

Just send yourself another email. When recieved highlight the new one and the one below the nasty one whilst holding shift ( ie select all between those 2 ) and delete

That will do it

If you wanted the one below just go into deleted and move it back
