Bump Up

It wont work as the tracking number for someone elses will show as delivered to them and even who signed for it so surely they will know its not the one of yours that has gone missing in the post wont they?
#3
Bump after 4 minutes?

Anyway, recorded slip won't do you any good. Don't think anyone would give theirs away as they might need it themselves for proof of delivery and obviously don't want a duplicate claim or them to realise that a different claim arrived in that envelope!

If yours didn't arrive then even your recorded delivery slip won't help as proof of postage is not proof of delivery.
#4
proof that it was delivered is all i need. This would not affect anyones claim as they dont keep record of the tracking number. I once helped my friend out by giving them my tracking number with no problem.
#5
anyone?

Bit of a long shot, but what address did you send it to?

I've got a rec/del no. for OSPS and they are also part of CPW.

The address is OSPS, po box 337, CW2 8WE and it was posted on 03/03/08 and I had my cheque within a week.

I'll pm you the tracking no and you can check the rm website.

I don't think it says who it's delivered to, it just says del'd from our Loughborough depot which should be the same one, and there is no sig, just a stamp.

It may work if no one can help you with an e2save one.

Good luck.

thanks russ66.

Better than getting done for fraud when they find out that it's already arrived there and it had someone else's paperwork in it???

Always use special delivery with consequential loss insurance and don't lost the receipt!

WHAT YOU LIKE. THEY DONT KEEP A RECORD OF TRACKING NUMBERS! I HAVE A FRIEND THAT WORKS FOR CPW.
banned#14
they are handed to cpw in one big bundle and only one signature for them, to be honest im not sure how this is going to help, they will say they havent received it and you will say they have, they will ask for a photocopy of your proof, and how you going to do that?

No need to shout, you wanna hope they don't. Cpw aren't e2save by the way.
#16
They do not ask you for a copy of your delivery receipt, they ask for a copy of the bill. Guys thanks for replying i have sorted it out with Russ66 tracking number. once again thanks Russ66 you have saved me a few hundred. rep left.

they do if they have not received it, otherwise none of us would have to bother sending anything -lol

I know that, but it's like saying that Curry's are the same as PC World, they belong to the same group but doesn't mean that they do exactly the same things and won't necessarily deal with each others things.

I wish you luck with it but I feel it's a little dodgy. You didn't take adequate insurance against the loss of your claim, I pay for special delivery with consequential loss insurance, why should you get effectively the same protection for much less money?
#20
they say if you send a claim by recored delivery your covered and that you do not need to send it by special delivery, its just to prove that you have sent your claim in not to get compensation for the loss of it.

Read the t&c's, I think you'll find something at the bottom that says where a claim has not been received we will consider that part not claimed. Proof of postage is not proof of receipt.

A recorded delivery slip where the item goes missing is a proof of postage, not a proof of receipt as it hasn't been received!!!

They suggest that you send recorded but in fact you should send special delivery with consequential loss insurance.

You want to hope that the dates match up to when you say you sent it otherwise they could spot it from that.
#22
the tracking number proves it has been recieved and the date of postage matches. so they have recieved it but misplaced it so means that i have sent it in on time and they have lost it! are you on their side or mine? i sent my claim in on time but they say they have not got it so i am trying my best not to lose money. when i was speacking to e2save they send that if i could prove i had posted the redemption in time i would not lose out all i would need to do was submit a copy of my bill which i have since faxed over.

well i hope for your sake they dont ask to see a copy of your proof, fraud is againt the law for joe public too you know
#24
sassie thanks for your concern as i have said they dont want a copy of the slip and if they do i have one as i have found my original.
#25
Like I said I wish you luck but at the end of the day you didn't cover yourself properly and are asking someone to bail you out. If you had covered yourself properly then you wouldn't be here. How do you know that e2save received it and lost it? You may be fraudently forcing e2save to pay you the money when in fact Royal Mail lost it and because you didn't use the correct postage option you should actually get nothing back.
#26
:w00t:so if anyone needs it i can forward it;-)

But that's going to be different than the one you've now told them? If they catch you out for that then you'll be in alot of trouble.

You've found your's now? Why not use that one then?
EDIT - Did your's actually get delivered then?

So you're going to use your own one now then?

The proof they want can be printed off the RM website, once it is on there you do not need to keep the receipt from the PO.

@ Benmoron: "proof of posting" is the free receipt jobby that you can request from the PO. e2save recommend you use recorded delivery.
#32
well i phone dthem up and told them that i had given them the wrong tracking number and that the first was for a different number and that this one is the right one. and the gentleman was very polite and said i didnt need to phone to let them know:roll:

I understand quite well thank you very much.

For your information a recorded delivery slip that the item gets lost in the post is only a proof of postage, it proves you posted the item, does it prove it was delivered?, NO, as it wasn't delivered!!!!!!!!!!!!

As e2save's web-site will tell you, proof of postage is not proof of delivery.

If the claim gets lost in the post a recorded delivery slip that proves that you sent the item is useless.

Lollipop fraud is fraud no matter how you butter it up, wonder if e2save would have got the same polite responses you did when asking how to fradulently claim they hadnt received something

Of course, I don't really think it's fair that other people get to use much cheaper methods of sending their claims and still get the same protection.

What you were talking of doing was fraud, pure and simple.
#38
when you put you tracking number in it then tracks your letter and states if it has been delivered as mine was but if it is lost by rm then the letter will not track. As for fraud is not using voucher codes etc that were sent to others but put on this website for all to use not fraud in its own little way?
as far as i am concerned i have sent my claim in and e2save have lost it and although they are much richer than me they want to see proof that i have posted it before they pay up and all i could think of was asking people on this forum. i would have helped someone in my situation .sorry if it does not suit you.
#39
what a cock, now you found the receipt but 2 hours before you lost it for almost a month?
#40
If you were doing it to simply replace the receipt that you had lost I could see your side of things, but you thought that your claim had been lost in the post so you wanted to replace it with one that had a 100% guarentee of being delivered (as it had already been delivered). If recorded delivery was 100% guarenteed then we could all use it.

Don't see why you should get a 100% guarenteed service for about £1 where the rest of us have to spend over £5 each time for the same thing?
