We're guranteed to see Wii Party, the new Zelda and Pikmin 3 on Wii along with 1 or 2 of these as a suprise hopefully :- Mario Kart Wii 2, Super Mario Galaxy 3 or the return of a franchise we havent seen in a long time e.g Luigi's Mansion, Donkey Kong, Kirby a proper Paper Mario or Kid Icarus.

Curious to see if anything comes from that Goldeneye on Wii rumor aswell.

I highly doubt we will see Super Mario Galaxy 3. Nintendo hardly bring out Mario sequels on the same console so if you are going to get another Galaxy it will probably be a launch title on a
"Wii 2".

I think we will get Luigis Mansion.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is already released! I'm not expecting SMG3 though as SMG2 was only announced at E3 2009, and SMG3 will probably be released in like 2-3 years, so announced at E3 2011.

I think I'll start calling that "Epic Flail" (as in waving your hands around in a violent manner).

The Xbox 360 "slim" looks like a Dell desktop PC case:

http://socialmediaseo.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/xbox-360-slim-images.jpg

At least one of my kids wants a '360 for Christmas (so they have no need to play on my Super Elite anymore), so I expect I'll probably spend my GAME reward points on one or a 500GB PS3/"Move" bundle once they are listed for pre-order (to replace my aging launch day 60GB model).

I'm probably going to miss the Microsoft presentation as it goes out live across the Interwebs, but I may see the one from Sony (as it is a little later in the evening).

Not sure what Nintendo are going to bring to the trade show other than the "3DS". Maybe news of the "Wii 2" (for 2011). Images of the revised (again) handheld console are already available to view:

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/01657/3DS_1657021c.jpg

(Taken from my comments over the weekend, "Did Somebody Mention Football?")

There is potential for Sony to mention the name-to-be-confirmed "PSP2", more 3D-TV/stereoscopic game support (from Sony & Microsoft), Games on Demand, Subscription fees for the PlayStation Network (the "PSN+"/"Service Pack" subscription options), SEGA/Dreamcast downloadable titles, an appearance by Kevin Butler, "Killzone 3" versus "Gears of War 3" game-play videos, "MotorStorm (3) Apocalypse" & "Fable III" as well, even more developers/publishers announcing their own methods to starve the pre-owned games market of their revenue, the "LittleBIGPlanet 2"/PS3 "they only do everything" slogan, Tomonobu Itagaki’s new ("Ninja Dead Gaiden or Sigma Alive" fifth in his lifetime, but first) project at Valhalla Games Studios ("Devil's Third"), a new handheld outing for Kratos in a further "God of War" title, & a confirmed date (or maybe a revised features list) for "Gran Turismo 5".

I'm looking forward to Stuart "Bodycount" Black talking about something other than himself, and news of PS2 titles on the PlayStation Network.

Conversely there will not be news of the rejection of Vivid Video's suggestion of PS3 High Definition porn streaming, or the Pan-European Game Information [PEGI] certification rating system being converted from the current 'advisory' board status to a legally-enforceable code of conduct in the UK in October 2010.

There probably will not be any mention of the findings of the American Psychological Association, as published this month in a special issue of the journal "Review of General Psychology" that "Playing violent video games can make some adolescents more hostile, particularly those who are less agreeable, less conscientious and easily angered. But for others, it may offer opportunities to learn new skills and improve social networking."

As well as "Bodycount" & "Devil's Third", I will be looking for footage of the following titles:

"Nail'd"
"Splatterhouse"
"Brink"

Looking forward to hearing about PSN subscription details. I can't wait for cross game chat, party system etc. It's the only thing I miss from Xbox Live.

I know people are instant to dismiss cross game chat saying it'll distract them when playing games but don't accept the chat invite if your worried about that. No doubt the invite will be no different to getting a standard MSG on psn anyhow. Would be a great feature for MW2, Battlefield etc. When used properly amongst friends it is a superb system.

One last request is for the tired looking XMB to be updated on the PS3.

I am one of those people who does not want cross game-chat because I don't like being interrupted whilst playing.

In fact, the notification on-screen to tell me I have a message from somebody gets so annoying after a while (as it draws your view away from the game-play, possibly at the wrong time), that I often switch it off completely.

Do you have a XrossMediaBar revision "wish list"?
I get hopelessly lost using the Xbox 360 Dashboard; most likely because I spend so little time using it.

I like the PS3/PSP/Bravia TV XMB interface. It is functional & easy to navigate.

I would like to be able to view my Friends "Friends" list! So if someone from work etc is on there I can tell them to through my friends list to add others. Another small thing I miss from Live.

Not sure on the design of the XMB I'd like to see, just feel the current one suits the psp just not the ps3. Any other things you'd like to see FP?

I have an Xbox Live Silver membership so I have not had the full online experience (and have no friends on my list), but that sounds like something I would not wish to promote. Can you disable the ability for others to view your Friends?

I do like the Live.Xbox.com/console integration though; especially the ability to 'flag' items for download the next time you go online. Expansion of the profile pages at Playstation.com to offer the ability to review the 'Store contents via a browser & then either kick off the download via "Remote Play" or the next time my PS3 is connected to the 'Store would be something I would make use of.

I would also like to see the ability to export XrossMediaBar messages to ASCII (text) files on the console (so you can dump them to an external USB drive/stick), or have full integration with an online (web)mail client so I can copy &/or paste details between messages & to/from information I have stored on my PC.

Other elements that come to mind without any thought (give me the remainder of the day & I could probably come up with improvements to each & every menu option!)...

The ability to configure microphone devices, and check on disc space in-game.
An estimated time for a controller to fully recharge.

The ability to add "Friends" to "Friend Groups" (e.g. People I play "Battlefield: Bad Company 2" with, those I play "Killzone 2" with, and so on). Friends can exist in more than one "Friend Group".

The ability to ignore all messages during game-play from everybody except single individual Friends, or individual "Friend Groups".

A PlayStation Store layout that has a dedicated area that shows all the downloadable content &/or patches available for the titles you own (installed, or have played) on your console.

Notification of patches to game titles available when I connect to the PlayStation Network.

(External) RSS feed management.

(Adobe) Flash support in the PS3 browser (so I can play Facebook.com mini games, or Miniclip.com games, for instance; however security issues aside I expect Sony would rather I play PlayStation titles on a PlayStation console!).

I have also seen a number of requests from others asking for the ability to remove Trophies for a particular title (that may never be played again). I would take that request further & suggest you can elect to not allow the review of your Trophies to anybody, only allow the review of the Trophies for a selection of titles, or allow full review.

Like I said, that list was just compiled as I typed. I'm sure there are plenty more improvements or enhancements we all could suggest.

Not as bad as I thought then, but I'd still not want my Friends being able to review the details of my other Friends.

Some parties may not wish to divulge their online status at any given point in time, or make it known that they were online at all.

Either way, I'll look forward to your fantasy XrossMediaBar list later :)

A little over an hour left until Microsoft's conference starts - looking forward to it as well as Sony's and Nintendo's.

Also fanpages and adamipswich are you both aware of "Playstation.Blog.Share"
http://share.blog.us.playstation.com/

Should check it out and perhaps share your ideas - granted it's the US region based site however one is still able to log in, vote and contribute ideas - some obvious leading ones such as Cross-Party Chat and PS2 emulation via software but some are interesting such as cutting down the XMB in-game (and therefore perhaps decreasing it's loading time) and directly displaying new messages upon pressing the PS button while the notification is displayed.

Fanpages,

Firstly in reference to your friends status to others. I believe and some others may tell me I'm wrong but when I had an Xbox I believe if your opted for the privacy mode all they could see was your profile. Similar to your profile on PS3 if someone was to check on the XMB of who they have played against. Thus meaning they can't tell if your friends are online or see their friends list.

I just miss that from Live, was much easier adding friends and adding to the Online experience.

Also the Party chat is truely something missing from the PS3, I do understand your sceptism regarding it but imagine you and 5 pals are playing BFBC2 and someone else come's online and wants to join you. Someone you know and who regulary plays with your clan. Instead of fumbling, typing and messaging the person to try and get them in the same game you could invite him to join the party, chat and guide him into your game by chat rather than slow and painful messaging. Also the party system and the whole invite to game scenario is so much easier on Live. Highlight a friend press X and wham your on the way to join their game.

See below for my dream XMB....

Scar, thanks for the above and I will be sure to check them sites out.

Right as for my Dream XMB.....

I've mentioned the whole being able to see a Friends, Friends. Cross game/Party chat. Don't mind paying if it improves the chat quality. Once again Live wins this war as their chat is flawless, sounds like your on your home phone. PS3 chat quality at present is at times woeful. So if it needs updating and improving by cost I'll assist and do my bit.

I would also like the new content of the store displayed better. Whats new is ok, but why not integrate something like First Play. Showing the latest game trailers, showing film trailers. Streaming them and not having to download them everytime. If you hover of them they stream, simples. They do it in Home so it must be an option.

Also another thing I miss from Live is the weekly Q & A video show, again its streamed. Not the best quality by streaming but its instant. Its a good way to give Sony feedback and also allows for us to question them regarding future releases etc.

I would also like to be able to play my own music instead of the games sound. In regards to what you can see in game I like the sound of pressing the PS button and the message displays instantly rather than going through the houses. But I also agree with FP, if you dont want it there should be an option to disable it.

I'll carry on thinking and add more later!!!

In regards to the Subscription thing.....

I also like the mention of Cloud Storage, makes upgrading your console much easier.

Also like the sound of the added 3 year warranty with the subscription.

Thought its unfair to hijack this thread so started another!!!
