Hi peeps

This seems like the right place to post something like this (if its not then i'm sorry and hopefully someone can move it).

Basically theres a huge community called Ciao. Lets say you register with Ciao and you want to make a bit of money. You can choose to receive surveys, these surveys will give you from £1 to £5 after completion. You can get over £10 ones but these are over the phone. If you want, you can also write reviews for pretty much any product you like and depending on how popular the product is, more people will read, rate and comment on it. I've written nearly 20 reviews on different things. I have £4.60 odd in my account right now but a while ago I withdrew £12.

Check it out.

Affiliate links aren't allowed here i'm afraid...
#2
tried ciao was rubbish there are a few others that are much better IMO
#3
Which are the other ones (and more importantly do these ever work)

I constantly hear of people making money through writing reviews and making money through sending emails to companies, But find it hard to believe!
#4
Ebay is a far better way of making money over the internet.

I tried looking in rules about affiliate links but didn't see anything. I apologise.

u say others are better... what others?

~

and yes ebay is better if your selling something

I've been a member of Ciao for years, only ever made a tenner on it lol

I don't do reviews though, just usually do the surveys they send me but 9 times out of 10 I don't 'qualify' to take the surveys, it bugs the heck outta me...I have all my profiles filled in, don't send me the damn things if I don't meet the requirements!

www.globaltestmarket.com is the one I use and make about 100 pounds a year. You are basically sent invitations to surveys which are worth usually about 50 points and once you've got 1000 they send you a £25 cheque. The cheque takes ages to arrive though. Anyway I usually get a survey invite everyday so it doesn't take that long to get up ro 1000 points.

PInecone reserch is the best I've come accross even if you don't meet the requirments for the survy you still get £4 they either send it out to you in lunchon vouchers (acepted everywhere just about) or you can now get it sent to your paypal I made over £50 last year in vouchers and spent it on my christmas shop

Also www.valuedopinions.co.uk is very good. Mimium payout is £5 for Amazon and £10 for Tesco amongst others.

Please can you send me a pinecone invite as apparently that's the only way to become a member.

Only if you can find stuff to sell!!

I only sell clothes and shoes for profit, all the other stuff is for personal use..
I do market timing, I buy stuff from there in the early hours of the morning when it gets few or no people bidding on it, then list it so the listing ends at 7pm on a Friday or Saturday night, when ebay is busy.

It's how you list things aswell, If I get a pair of replay jeans to sell, listing them as "size 12 replay jeans" doesn't attract many buyers, but listing them as "30w 34L Replay Electra (Orange Label) 2007 season" will attract more. It takes a while to find out what people are searching for, there are a few items, especially in womens' clothing that tend to sell really well, it's just trial & error really.

I wouldn't have a clue how to sell, say, computer parts or software as I know absolutely Jack about them... but clothes and shoes on the other hand .....:giggle:

Hi guys,

I cam across this really good site called Pure Profile. They reward you with money for your thoughts. The surveys are really easy and only about 5 or 6 questions for a £1 reward. I get around 6 a week so doesnt take too long to redeem your £25. Its really easy.

Click here to go to Pure Profile!!!

No referrer links on here please.
#22
Stora is right, referals are not allowed
#23
merged with the previous thread :)
#24
Instead of everyone being right about no referral links -- you could just use the bad post button and let the mods deal with it.

Anyway... Its good to see this thread has turned in a better direction.

I will try out some of the sites you peeps have mentioned.

With Ciao, a review is usually less than 1000 words but you can make it as long as you want. The longer you have been a member and the more reviews you write and rate/comment etc the more other people will rate yours thus your balance goes up. I got £5 something on there now.
They have a feature called product of the week. Ciao also have a new feature - POTW:
On Monday each week Ciao presents an everyday product on this page. The best three new reviews on this product which are submitted by 12.00 midday on the following Monday receive a small prize of £7, £5 and £3 respectively. The decision is based on ratings by other Ciao users, therefore the reviews on the product page are sorted according to usefulness on Monday afternoon at 5 p.m.

Regular participation pays off! At the end of the year the "Star of the Year" will be nominated. The three members with the most rewards (total earnings) will receive an additional prize (1st place: £70 / 2nd place: £40 / 3rd place: £20).

Thanks all for your input.
