East Coast Trains - what age is a child?

I am travelling on a train with a 7 year old (definitely a child ;-)) and an 11 month year old baby ... do I need to buy a child ticket for the baby?

Some methods of travel don't require a ticket for babies, but not sure about trains as its been years since I've used one and it doesn't make it clear online.

I wouldn't have thought so, I didn't have to buy a ticket for my nearly 2 yr old butthat was a different company.
