I think it is rubbish and have refused to watch any more - it is a sick storyline which should receive complaints as we have to pay for it !!
#2
Said the same myself last night.

Why is it any worse than many other things they have done before? Its not as if it doesn't happen in real life!

nothing wrong with it this happens in real life, are all tv storylines not to be relevant to the real world?

it was sick as in good :)

I watch eastenders when it's ok but have given the last few a miss as I don't like the current story line. Me and my OH are expecting our first baby this week and to see someone so distraught is too hard to watch. We know it happens but I feel it's a bit too real as so many people can relate to how tough 9 months of pregnancy is and how sad ronnie must feel whereas not many people can relate to murderous husbands or huge tram crashes etc etc!!

I haven't watched these "baby" ones as finding it really uncomfortable to watch.
Its not real life I know but being a mum it was hard watching it.
#9
I don't watch it - but I would defo tune in for that!!

Wasn't "sick" but can understand it will worry alot of mothers with newborns over the newyear !!.

Putting Lenny Henry on twice in 2 hours is far more inexcusable than killing babies.

the switcharoo baby is an unbelievable actor

they put things on tv that are related in real life and its to much and when they put something on thats soooo far fetched its an out rage because they are making things up, some people NEED to make there minds up on what they want!

Seriously? There have been loads of stories in the past of people stealing other peoples babies when their own has died, sometimes new borns from hospitals. Its really not that unusual.
#24
What a sheltered life I must lead, I have never heard of such a thing
#25
Google 'baby snatching' (Yes it is very unusual but it does happen so no worse than some of the crap they've had on Eastenders before :D )

I found it so unreal watching it, my son who will be 18 in a few weeks had a near cot death, he was blue and cold when just a few days old and i picked him up out of his carrycot...my reaction...was to literally run out screaming help into the street..seriously...nothing like Ronnies reaction at all..it was instant and the reaction brought neighbours out and within what was minutes (but seemed like forever at the time) an ambulance came after they had called 999... luckily it was a happy ending and that in my heart is your natural reaction...you want your baby to be 'brought back' you wouldn't just give up on it and swap it!

everyone reacts differently :|

I guess so, but having been in that situation I gave an honest account of a natural reaction

But in an unnatural situation people react differently. Not dismissing how you felt and reacted but there is only a persons natural reaction. Not sure how I would cope. Family and friends have stated how cold I've been when faced with past family/friend deaths yet a recent death tore me apart.

I totally appreciate how everyone reacts differently, death is a very disturbing thing to us, and we do react differently, at that time however, I didn't give up on my baby, even though he was blue, limp and cold, my instinct was to get him breathing again, and that instinct paid off... and that's why i'm not so sure Ronnie would have been so calm .. but they obviously do their research but i'm not so sure some women would swap their babies when they find their own baby not breathing..

its all too predictable, i could tell what was gonna happen from the overhappy faces and extended camera shots on certain people, and that whole deliberate scene of charlie walking down the stairs, why do they make it so obvious?

The storylines are getting more and more ludicrous every week, they never let anyone be happy, if they do they can't wait to spoil it, or write them out altogether, there is only so much mindless dribble i can stand.

Come on whatever storyline they have, It's NOT REAL.

I appreciate that some people can relate to certain issues, death's, affairs yada yada.

You can't wrap the world up in cotton wool, I think in the real world anyone who suffered anything like this it'd be hard to take. But still it's NOT REAL.

If your sensitive to things like they portray on Eastenders don't watch it.

I think it's simply being pointed out that your joke is in bad taste.
There must be several people who use this site who have lost babies to cot death and flippant comments such as this must cause them pain.
So you're smart, maybe sometimes its smarter not to be so quick with the retorts and show some understanding of people who may have had different life experiences to you?
