Right had this thought tonight thats how sad i must be but hasnt it been said that the killer of archie mitchell was only going to be told half an hour before the show well that must be rubbish,,,, WHY????
Well i'll tell you because tonights episode was all about bradley and people saying he killed archie etc etc, well these scenes would have been filmed weeks ago, meaning that cast members knew weeks ago because theres no way they would have filmed follow up episodes for all the different outcomes i'e if peggy done it tonights show would have been about her, if it was jack tonights show would have been about him and so on and on, does this make sense? just my little thouight on the matter :) sad i know.

i would imaging for the 1st couple of shows would have been done in duplicate for whatever outcome

Yeah, there was a thread on here a few weeks ago with the leaked story, so if some people knew already, then the cast must have known.
Not really a big deal though.

biggest joke is that the case is closed and the police have named Bradley the killer on the say so of an anomynous phone call. They didn't even question Stacey!A tiny bit of realism please. I would have thought the police would be sued for chasing someone across a rooftop who was not even under arrest but needed for questioning. In real life that detective would be up for manslaughter charges.

But I know it's not real....really i do!

its a tv soap??? Should really worry about bigger issues

Quite amusing to read about some of the gaffes on the live show - Jack fluffed his lines, Max putting his fingers down his throat to make himself sick upon "seeing" Bradley, Bradley moving his hand at the end when he's "dead", Stacey shouting what sounds like "Branning!" rather than Bradley when he falls, and then calling out "Charlie!" (the actor's name), dodgy camera shot when Stacy is waiting in the market, Dot forgetting her granddaughters name, Ronnie forgetting to pay for her shopping, oh there was another one but I forget it now

Despite that - tremendous effort all round. Really quite impressive.

i dont know if im reading the op wrong but no matter who the killer was they were ovb going to make out in tonight ep that bradley done it because he ran!! everyone knew bradley was going to die and no one mentioned that stacey did it in tonights episod so no one would have needed to know!!

funny enough was thinking the same thing the other nite lol

Not that I follow eastenders that much, but if you think about it, even if she diddnt say at the end that she killed Archie, the episode after (mondays) would still have been the same, she is grieving for Bradley and it would be no diff if she killed Archie or not, if you fetch what I mean.

In the aftermath show, apparently the actor was told right at the end, by tapping them on the shoulder, and I think this is true, they did a very good job on the night considering.

If you're a fan of soaps you need to lower your standards.

That includes thinks like 'dramatic tension' and your job/your future partner/your kids.

Whoever it was, Bradley was still going to die, as he was leaving the show anyway. So instead of the blame being shifted away from Stacey, it would have been the same show shifted away from Peggy, Phil etc.

As for the 'leak' on here, it was well publicised Bradley was dying, and his funeral has already been filmed. Getting the Stacey bit was a lucky guess.

DOn't see how they couldn't have told the cast. They would have planned months ago for Bradely to die (seeing as the actor was leaving), and it would be planned that he died in this fashion, i.e. getting chased on suspicion of killing whatsisname. Therefore any subsequent episodes can be filmed in advance, with the theme being bradley's death/supposed killing of Archie. I assume it wasn't mentioned once that stacey did it?

They aren't 'actors'. Would you call Punch and Judy puppets 'actors'?
