Go to Multiplayer.

Play Online .

Find Game.

3rd person cage match.

Invite your friend as quickly as possible.

Tell your friend to stay in the message area to get the invite and join quickly (You may have to do this a couple of times). If cant do it or cba then just tell the other person to join session.

When you and your friend is in the same game, just play in turns e.g. you kill the other guy 20 times then he does and so on.

*Hints and tips*

1.While the game is loading try and make a few classes with different weapons which you usually dont use, they get you more points.

2.To talk easier through the game have a chat thing open.

3.If youre killing the other guy tell them to have the tactical insertion to kill quicker.

If you dont understand something or if youre stuck feel free to leave your psn and Ill try to help you tomorrow.

If you already know this no need to go mad about it, im just trying to help.

In like 1hr i got from level 40 to 44

Ooh... i dunno maybe my suggestion would have been too sensible as to not buy the game in the first place :) but hey if you cant get the heroin methadone is always a good sub...

Was same in MW1 just without 3rd person view

it's just a game, and it's up to the paren tto make a decision as to wether or not they feel it is suitable, all you complainers, your not telling me you never saw a 15 or 18 movie before that age.
I'm sure the issue here is you don't like the youngsters cluttering up the online play.

I agree its certainly up to the parents to decide. But then that would bring up a whole debate as to do we have responsible parents in order to make that informed decision, yadda yadda yadda... Im sure most people have seen something before they were meant to, but when it comes to the parents facilitating that choice then its a different issue. But hey who am I - a mere mortal to judge...

how did we get to Heroin and methodone when talking about MW2:w00t: suppose it sort of speaks volumes for the poster but hey post up a thread about it and we will all do our best to help you

You said what would they do without the game, eat all the wotsits.. and i myself am partial to the odd cheesy snack as they are fairly addictive. but fortunately do not have an age certificate :) Whoosh. Straight over the head.
#24
its up to bossyboots and no one else to judge whether or not to let her son play this game.

OP this is kinda crap and defeats the whole purpose of levelling up which is to challenge yourself, improve and increase the longivity of the game

Big lloyd you have failed miserably in trying to put me down as a parent especially for some strange weird reason bringing in heroin and methadone into one of your posts. As a few posters have said - its up to the parents what they do with their children. I havent posted up that I have let my son go out boozing or left him at home on his own yadaa yadaa

To this day he hasnt yet come downstairs with a machine gun and tried to kill me, the dog, his dad or anybody else and he still attends school on a regular basis ie. every week day. He still brushes his teeth and combs his hair too.

I refer you to my previous post... 'i agree its up to the parents and who's to say im just a mere mortal etc'. im not putting you down at all, if i wanted to do that then I would have, i dont know you so never would. But hey, if i cant instigate a debate in Misc then i bid you adieu. No offence intended!

Boring game, why make it even more boring? Also why do they have to join quickly?

You have to do it before someone else joins.

You said what should you do its out of control or words to that effect.... (he obviously loves the game, just like I do when i play it at my mates house) so its addictive! heroin = addictive. Then you said let him eat all the wotsits or something like that.... substitute. I wasnt implying you give your son heroin. Just a joke. Not funny I hear you cry. Ah well.

Jaffa cakes are also addictive but you chose to compare a boy playing this game to heroin/methadone. very very strange.

I have already sent some apology rep to the OP for this debate happening - that you started - as its thread spoiling and not allowed.

You seemed to have only come onto this thread to post at me - dont u have anything else you could be doing - in fact please dont answer that as I dread to think what u will post next.

Sweet child of mine... i looked at the thread because I thought my friend would be interested in the info as they are obsessed with the game. You're the one who put the embarrassed face after stating your child was 11 playing an 18 game, which i made a comment to and then got a reply which i commented to and so forth. I have also sent apology rep to the OP.

Wow, the PC versions sucks but the console version is even worse? On the PC one, you make a room, invite your friend, then have aslong as you want to choose the game mode and it puts you both into it.

You can do that but that disables a few modes including the cage, so this is what I found out instead, btw the join session is easier then inviting.

I'm a University student and i've just finished writing a dissertation on the effects of Video Games on education and learning. In my opinion video games as a medium should be taken as seriously, if not more seriously, than other forms of entertainment. There are major links between violent video games and aggression, and i have found that younger more impressionable minds are affected to a greater degree. Ratings are displayed on video games for a reason and i feel their warnings should be heeded.

From a different perspective, i have played alot of Modern Warfare 2, both campaign and multiplayer, and do not deem it suitable for younger people. The campaign contains scenes which made even me, a seasoned video game player uncomfortable. Xbox live is also often an extremely hostile environment and much of what is said in games lobbies is terrible and offensive.

Not trying to preach at all, just my two penneth....

P.S. OP: You are entirely what is wrong with this game!

- blimey, still in dissertation-writing mode?! quite a mouthful!. you're bang right with what your saying though, apart from the last bit, the little children trying to put people down with their really high voices in the lobby is what's wrong with COD.

Can you not disable that? I'm a PC gamer but the first thing I do with every game is disable in game voice chat. Cuts out the whiney kids.

Yeah there is the option of muting people. They used to have party chat mode but they disabled it to stop people cheating on certain game modes (Search and Destroy ect). It's a shame really because i didn't think it was that big of a problem in the first place, and it seems like a pretty big sacrafice of a decent feature to fix something that isn't broken!

Muting people or everyone? Muting people is annoying, I can blanket disable all voice chat in MW2 (and every other PC game), they all have the option. Sucks you can't have private voice chat. Luckily on the PC loads of software exists, so we just jump into a private ventrillo room.

Unfortunately there is no blanket disable option (as far as i'm aware). MW2 will be traded in as soon as Splinter Cell: Convictions and Blink are released.

Just my opinion, but i think trash talking and general annoyance is a bigger problem on MW2 than on almost any other game i've ever played. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this?
