I have 2 boys under 5, am going to disneyland paris next month and dont know which "eat with the characters" breakfasts/lunches/dinners to book and which to avoid (except the "disney princesses" one, because that wont entertain the boys). Can anyone offer any suggestions on which ones I should be booking? Dont want to be spending a fortune on a meal that the boys dont eat (cos they wont eat more than a couple of mouthfuls)Thanks for all advice, because I'm losing the plot here...

when we went it was cheaper for us to eat at planet hollywood(is that the right one thats there:?)
then to eat anywhere else in the park, apart from macy d's lol

Took our kids to a character breakfast - what a rip-off! Lots of money, you sit there for ages with the kids asking where Mickey is, then some characters come out, move about through the crowd a bit, then disappear as fast as they appeared!

The characters even give off the air that they couldn't be bothered, if that's possible!

I think you would probably get better value by taking your boys to the wild west show that they do,altough your dont get close to meeting the character its more entertaining for the money and you watch while you eat

But I'll feel like a cheapskate if we dont take em to one at least... The girl my son adores at nursery is going the following month with her family and he'll never win her heart if he says "I didnt go and have breakfast with Mickey"- he's almost 5, you dont win a fair maiden's heart by smart cars or lots of cash... you do it by being seen (in a photo) close to mickey, dontcha?

We did the evening buffet at the Disneyland hotel. If you book for the earliest time, which I think was 6.30pm, the Characters are there when you arrive. Usually about 4 or 5 of them, and they greet you as you enter, then cicle round the tables, sitting with the kids. They stay for about half an hour, then disappear, and reappear a bit later.
Wasn't cheap though, although the food was very good.
By daughter was only 2 and half at the time but loved it.
Just remember you need to book for when the restaurant opens though, as this seems to be when the characters are around the longest.

Yeah...It is a bit of a rip off to be honest. The Character dinners in the parks and hotels can be the worst.

We went to Mickeys Cafe. It is in 'Downtown Disney' just outside Eurodisney. Not fantastic but a constant stream of characters the kids can get their photo taken with. It is basically the same everywhere. The characters mingle and you generally just aske to have a photo taken and they will normally oblige..Not too expensive and the waiters etc send up a song etc every so often.

For a momento most characters do autographs. It is nice to get one of the books where the characters sign the page and you put the piccy of the kids with the character beside it once you print them out at home. Books are around 7 euro - but the kids do like it. That goes for the park characters as well.

Beware the European kids are really pushy - be prepared to get stuck in...

Book the Disney Hotel it's fantastic... we arrived back yesterday from a 4 day break.

If you're feelign flush pay the extra for the Premium-Plus Half-Board it's worth every penny in my opinion...
