Ebay - Why can't sellers have the option of preventing people with low positive feedback less than 5 or 10 from bidding on our auctions? Yes i might limit my market and yes i also know that people have got to start somewhere but the amount of time wasters, non payers and idiots i've had to deal with lately makes my blood boil! And don't get me started with Paypal charges and how they deal with complains! Ebay is getting far too big for it's own good and it's time it was regulated more carefully! :x

You can. when listing there is a buyers requirements option as follows
Block buyers who:

Are registered in countries to which I don't post

Have a feedback score equal to or lower than -1-2-3

Have 2 Unpaid Item strikes in the last 30 days

Have bid on or bought my items within the last 10 days and met my limit of ****

Only apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score equal to or lower than 543210
Control the number of items a single buyer can purchase.

Don't have a PayPal account
PayPal account holders have up to an 80% lower Unpaid Item rate.

Do not have a credit card on file

Only apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score equal to or lower than 543210
Blocked buyers who put a credit card on file will be allowed to bid on or buy your items.

If it so bad why not leave instead of moaning. Vote with your money go elsewhere. If enough people do it they will change

Yes i know i can stop people bidding who have -1 -2 or -3 feedback but this doesnt stop people with only a few pos feedbacks or who are new to Ebay. For example if some one has p*ssed me off whats to stop me from setting up a new user name and account then i can bid on all this persons auctions and when i win them all just never send payment or answer emails?

With regards to going somewhere else........ There are only a few other semi decent auction sites and there aren't enough people using them to make them any good. If everyone like you said did do this then it would work but i can't see that happening anytime soon.

yes but tehn, if every1 was to think this way, new users could never start up ebay, we were al new once, and some people just dony use it lot, could have been registered for a yr but only bought 2 things,

Someone did this to me, worryingly they even threatened to fire bomb my house (had my address by buying my item!!) at which point I got in contact with the police by email:? I then forwarded the reply to this guy who was threatening me. He withdrew all the negative feedback and said he was only joking but still not a nice thing to say ;-)

As i said it's easily done, so if we had the option to stop people with very low feedback then there's a very good chance the amount of losers and time wasters would be reduced. Yes as i said before i'd be limiting my buyers but surely that's my choice. Yes i agree everyone has to start somewhere but it doesn't take long to get 5 or 10 positive feedbacks and not every seller would prevent these people from bidding.
