fess are ridiculous and its riddled with scammers-paypal seem to always favour the thief rather than the injured party. was a great site when it started-now its a scammers paradise.

Well im a bit annoyed as i sold an item and i believed it to be working and the buyer collected then left feedback to say that it wasnt working and they would have to spend money on it. WHY didnt they contact me first as i would have been happy to sort it out with them. Unless of course they are just trying it on but as i cant change the feedback now, i cant do anything

eBay is fine so long as you use common sense ie avoid expensive items with newish sellers, sellers suddenly selling expensive items when they have been selling low value items prior or just selling casually (signs of possible account hijacking). Check feedback well etc.

There are so many ways of getting away with scamming buyers, the favourite list items then wait until the buyer as filed an item not received claim, then as soon as they have done this send out a similar weighted package by recorded system and give this number to p/p as they can not then make a claim for significantly not described due to paypal only allowing one claim per transaction and them using it for INR.

Or buyers scamming sellers via the old switcheroo.

I think they changed that loophole ages ago....

But the switcheroo is a serious concern whenever you sell something of a high-ish value. Ebay's really gone to the dog's these days!
