Ebay advice needed plz

Yet another thread asking for advice on ebay lol so bear with me!

i put up an item on ebay and wrote in the auction i only post to confirmed addresses. its a buy it now with immediate payment btw and the only payment option is paypal

some guy buys it and hes got an unconfirmed paypal address and also asks me to post it to another address in the paypal notes part

he really wants the item as he messaged me asking if he could buy it via paypal and ask for postage to another address which i replied no to.

now ive refunded him the payment via paypal but i want to relist the item

the thing is i need to get a final value credit and an insertion fee credit as the item is £420.

but the only way to do that is to open an unpaid item dispute that the buyer has to accept, if he doesnt accept i cant get none of them back

so what can i do as it cost me £20 to put it on and the final value fee is a tenner too

thanks in advance

Not much you can do except hope he agrees to mutually cancel, you wont get fees back from NPB cos he did pay.

You can do an unpaid item dispute and instead of saying that you mutually greed to withdraw the sale, put in the buyer wanted you to send it to an unverified address. If the buyer does not agree, it does not automatically mean you are not allowed the fees back but the dispute takes a bit longer I think.
I have just opened one of these, the buyer hasn't replied after 5 days so still waiting to see the outcome.

hmm thats what i want to do but i have to wait 7 days and i need to sell this quick as the price will fall in that time

looking at the insertion fee credit it looks like they only give the insertion fee back and not the other stuff you use i.e. featured listings etc so theres no point me waiting for it as the main thing was i featured it in 2 categories which cost me £20

cheers for the advice

That's so rubbish. I would relist it now if you want to sell it asap and wait the 7 days for final fee credit.
I guess you win a few and lose a few with this type of thing. Annoying though.

Have you emailed him to ask if he will agree to confirm you mutually greed to withdraw the sale? you may not get it all back but worth asking them

the thing is he seems as though he really wants the item and ive had someone decline the mutual agreement which left me a tenner worse off so dont really want to take the risk

i have mailed him though

il see what he says

ask him for bank transfer or western union instead, that way you are pretty safe

Looks like a hijacked account, if you report it to ebay, they should remove the auction and refund your fees.

While signed in to ebay hit the ''help'' button (top right hand side of page) ''contact us'' and then ''send us an email'' link about halfway down the page.

Next choose ''selling after i've sold'' from the options in the dropdown box and another dropdown box will appear, choose ''posting items'' or ''credit fees'' or whichever option you think is most relevant to your problem and then just explain the situation in the space provided.

I've used this method before and ebay have always got back to me fairly quickly explaining the appropriate action to take, they will also let you know which fees you are likely to get back.

Hope this helps.

I wouldn't send an item of that value to an unconfirmed address.

Who cares if he negs you, others will still buy.
