his paypal account is apparently past its limit and he says he needs to varify it which paypal says take 3-5 days (he rang them apparently)

then bank transfer was the next option, he says he is trying this at the min but always says cant pay person (details are correct)

then mentioned check ? he says he can provide me with a check gurantee number ??? but id need to ship the item b4 it clears

is there any other means he could pay SOON as ? so i can send it for b4 crimbo ?

Why dont you give him one of your relatives bank account numbers (if they agree) and see if he can transfer money into that account....he cant be doing it right if it doesn't go through on another account.

would different banks be stopping this ??

he says hes with lloyds and i am 2 !

postal order, is just like sending money, he pays for the postal order, you recieve them, take them to the post offic where theyll give it you back in money there and then.

just, seriously, be careful, im not saying your stupid, but, lately, ive met alot of "genuine" people, who havent been so genuine.

if he does send it special delivery tomorow, and you send them item back special delivery, he will get it in time for xmas :)

Telephone or online banking should be able to transfer this almost immeadiately if you are in the same bank.....tell him to ring them up on the telephone banking number and do it that way. If he doesn't or says it wont work i would be very wary!!!

is it a large amount?

Uncrossed postal order otherwise you have to pay it in the bank and this will have to clear like a cheque. With uncrossed you get the cash over the post office counter. If he was to send this special delivery he might as well just send the cash as it will be insured with this postal service. If they refuse to do this then I wouldn't give them any bank details etc...could be dodgy then.

Too be honest I'm surprised they haven't suggested postal orders themselves as it would be the obvious alternative!

Push him to try bank transfer again.....there should be no reason that this wouldn't work aslong as he has got sufficient funds, and is doing it properly.:viking:

is bank transfer over the internet bankin instant ?

if hes with lloyds and you are too, there should be no problem, in fact it can be done online straight away - bear in mind that it can tak up to 4 days to show - even interbank (i tr from one account to another in same name and it took 3 days)

best bet, postal order, then you can take it to the postoffice, cash the postal order and then you can post it off straight away - so all happy!

even across different banks shouldnt pose a problem I do this regular. In fact you can setup up a standing order to pay a single amount as quickly!

#35
Without seeing his card how do you know its the right number......see my post above for a possible solution.

lets hope when they go 2 the bank 2 morro they can pay over the counter- which they should be able to do !!1

The buyer can walk into the same Bank as your bank with and pay over the counter and the money will be in your account straight away.
Friday is the last day for Special Delivery but there will be a £2.00 surcharge on the normal SD price.
What is the item number?

Just don't be too trusting. You'll have even less money if they rip you off. I hope it does go well for you.
