Ebay and DSR's

Is anyone else sick of Fleabay and their DSR's?!. I mean sellers now have to bend over and grit their teeth for the 'customer'.

For example i'm selling something, and clearly marked 5 working days for dispatch on the listing and sold to someone. Now buyer says after one day 'is u dispatched yet' .Then he says ' i is going away needz u to post b4 friday'

Now I replied to him saying I would rather refund him, because the cretin will most likely mark dispactch time as a 1 or 2, or maybe even give me neutral or negative feedback. For the profit margin of the item, i really can't be bothered dealing with him and his retarded text talk.

Saying that even if i DO refund him, what's to stop him leaving negative feedback?!

I'm fairly new to selling, but all this crap is really putting me off Ebay

Firstly it's a well known fact a lot of buyers don't read the terms etc when buying lol, secondly, why the delay in despatch though, thats's a long time....

He can neg you if he wants to.

Unless you are a business seller though then DSR's don't affect you at all. :?

Ebay only favours buyers, your right that sellers have to bend over and let the buyers take advantage.
I don't understand though seeing as it's the sellers that pay Ebay the fees, which are extremely high.

I've got a day job and don;t really want to bring my grandmother out of retirement going to post-office for me :)

well if he has emailed asking after one day, means it ended yesterday? Can't you post it quickly on this occasion?

No need to wait so long really. if you can only post on a certain day, make sure your listings finish the day before, easy. :)

Yes they do, i'm a private seller and I recently stopped receiving instant payments because I had too many 1s and 2s for delivery time. Now I am receiving again but I have to be careful.

5 working days isn't that long is it?:?

And ditto re ppl not reading the terms.. I no longer reply to questions that have the answers clearly stated in the listing (when Im forced to sell there that is!)

Good idea, unfortunately most of my listings are 'buy it now', so can;t know when they will finish

I know what you mean ebay are getting too picky and too much for the buyer, which is great when your are buying but poor when you are selling.
Buyers are giving bad feedback and low scored because they can and have no fear of a neg in return.

Whats that all about?? :?

..another reason to put me off though Im sure!

Do you state 5 working days in the main desc box, or just by the p+p section? If not it might be worth doing IN BIG LETTERS perhaps!??

Like it or not people don't want to wait 5 days for despatch,i know i don't,the problem is as i said earlier a lot of people don't read a listing properly so inevitably people will mark you down.

DSR's are Distance Selling Regulations............they don't affect you as a private seller. That's in regards to businesses.

haha i dunno, i've been thinking of ways of selling loads of stuff just to get my ratings up enough so crap like this doesn't affect me too much. might go and spend £200 at poundworld, and sell on ebay at a loss posting super quick!
