eBay auction sniper?

Has anyone had any experience using one?

I need a reliable one to put a bid down on 3 different items tonight as I'm at work when they finish.

I used to use Prospector years ago but I don't know if there's a better one these days.

Goofbay.com, it's free too!

My mate uses gixen, and wins most of the items. It bids in the last 3-5 sec.

I use myibay, a firefox addon which gives you a snipe option on the auction page itself.

I can see epic fail here if it goes wrong and you bid against yourself

Hm, yes.. I guess i'll just have to have faith in the sniper to actually make the bid!

Never ever use a cracked sniper software, they are so easy to bind with non detectable (ie each time it gets its own footprint, so no av can detect it) keyloggers and often are. Ive keylogged one myself like this just to prove to someone how easy it is to do as they thought their AV would detect it and they'd be safe, never uploaded it to the net though theres already so many out there.

PS. I'd go for goofbay, only let me down once and that was when the site went down for maintenance.

True that. I suppose it wouldn't be that hard for a skilled programmer to modify the program to redirect the username and password to their own server too, when you enter them into the program..

ive used auctionstealer for about 5 years, only lets you snipe 3 items a week for free but works great never missed a bid yet:) http://www.auctionstealer.co.uk/home.cfm

Id be highly wary of using something like this, unless it was from a very trusted source (And how many things on the internet can you trust nowadays?)

goofbay let me down on 5 out of 7 snipes and I've never used a sniper again.

I have also used this for a number of years and have found it reliable and has bagged me quite a few bargains in that time!

this is probably the best way to lose your ebay password to some scammer

www.justsnipe.com Has never let me down, apart from when i changed my ebay password and forgot to update it. Can do 5 free snipes a week or pay for their service for unlimited. Ive used it for about 3 years.

Thats how it works it sends a log to a predefined server with username/password.

Theres always that risk, use a trusted service and always make sure your ebay and paypal passwords are completely different.

same problem for my parents, yet its only let me down once.

I may give the firefox one a go.. but don't really buy enough! n the last few i've done myself

If you bid your top maximum bid,you have no need for a sniper.
If I get sniped in the last 3-5 seconds....means my maximum bid has been exceeded,so it doesn`t bother me
