Hi

the thing is i have sold alot lot items in past mainly stuff not needed anymore and few deals found in shops over the years nothing major

i worried they would look into my ebay paypal history and see these sales from the past

will they want to see all my ebay paypal history or can just print of from when start the buisness and tax man be happy?

Why not just dodge tax like everyone else does.

sales from date before your business starts wont count!!

btw I hate folk who correct spelling mistakes on here but considering the topic of your thread - buisness is actually spelt business

it depends if you want to become self employed, and if you are going to declare earned income to the tax man,
if you are already employed as an employee with some one else paying tax, then the actually amount you can earn by being self employed is sort of added to your earnings
if you dont pay tax then as a single person you can earn over £6000 before you pay tax.
keep all postage reciepts, petrol and buying stock also can claim for all sorts such as using your home as office, electricity phone heating bills
sorry if this sounds a bit mixed up

My Daughter is self employed and i do all her book keeping
the Tax people have two study days which you can go on which are free for people trying to set upthere own business
and they tell you everything you need to know and also what you can and cant claim for to offset your earnings

Dont forget you need to actually register with the IRS when you start your business - and you must register within the first 3 months or they can hit you with a substantial penalty. Good luck :-) !
