Ebay concern

Just looking for advice from Ebay experts.

item 320229176153

This seller is selling 11 of these Transformers. Currently can get from Argos for £60.He only accepts cheques/ postal orders. his only feedback appeared 1 day after his first sale, too early for him to have received payment or sent the item. Very dodgy. Have emailed him no response, how do i report him to Ebay and should I bother?

Advice appreciated, going to buy a Transformer for my sons Birthday, probably will get from Argos though!

The man from Del Monte, he say NO.

Avoid like the plague (or a bad cliché).
#2
i wouldnt buy that from that buyer because if you look at the sellers feedback the buyer only had 1 feedback so he has just made another account and added feedback, i would advise to stay well clear
#3
i wouldnt touch that with yours, 1 feedback from someone else who has 1 feedback, not worth the risk
#4
Yea it all seem a bit dodgy Keep clear go to Argos!!
#5
stay well clear mate

the ebayer is from Cardiff and so is the one guy who bought from this ebayer. both have only I feedback and both have only been members for 1 month. I smell a rat.
maybe its worth contacting Ebay for advice and for them to check this out!
#7
I would stay well away if I were you.

Both have been members for las than a moth & both are located in Cardiff!

Smells a bit dodge!
#8
Ask the buyer of the other one a few questions to see if you get a response.
#9
How do you find out the exact location of seller and their only buyer?
#10
copy and paste their ebay id into "community" and it tells you there!
#11
Ask the seller how they seemingly received payment of a cheque/postal order or bankers draft the same day the auction ended. Unless they sent the item before receiving payment. If they did, ask them to extend the same service to you.

They did this with free P&P.
#12
Look at his completed items, seems to have sold a lot of the same items. Very dodgy.
#13
I wouldn't buy anything from a seller who didn't get back to me with answers to any questions I have. Also the response you get from the seller can go along way to help you judge whether you think they are likely to be reliable.

Just because the seller is new & so is their one buyer doesn't automatically mean there is something dodgy going on, maybe the buyer just paid cash on collection instead if they are both in the same town?

If you're not in a rush wait for a few more days, and if you look under the sellers completed item you can see they have sold quite a few items this week, maybe you could contact some of the earliest buyers to ask if all went well.
#14
Email the other buyers to find out if anybody has had delivery or contact from the seller ask the seller if you can pick up if you are not happy walk away mate.
#15
the seller is the buyer from his first feedback, sooo obvious.
#17
Where are the completed items?

Yea and his first item only sold on Saturday!!

On a Buy It Now, all the others are normal auctions.
I may ask a few questions myself, but all the auctions are ending soon, so he/she will have plenty of time to "Do one".

You cannot do buy it now until you have a at least a 10 feedback score

I feel sorry for all his buyers. I really don't see him sending out these items. Thanks for the info on identifying locations and the Goofbay stuff.

Report The Listing Asap

I wasn't sure how to do that, looking at his profile there wasn't a link to report seller?

At the bottom of the listing, there is a report button. I have reported it, but the more the better.

Fixed Price format

When you choose to list in the Fixed Price format, you simply indicate the price at which you'd like to sell your item(s) and buyers can purchase from your listings immediately at that price.

To sell with Fixed Price format, you must:

*

have either a minimum feedback rating of 10, or
*

have confirmed Direct Debit on file for payment of eBay fees (this may take up to 19 days and is not available to eBay.ie sellers), or
*

if you have a PayPal account, you need to have a minimum feedback score of 5 and accept PayPal as a payment method.

I think they're either fakes, or he's worried that he won't get a high price for the amount that they're worth. So he's trying to look genuine, when in reality he looks really dodgy.

Or maybe they will do a runner, I'm just hoping for the other buyers sakes that they don't.
