Ebay deals can not be posted on this site probably due to risk of self promotion.

Do people agree with this? I am not so sure

For two reasons

1) Surely a deal is a deal - if it is buy it now and a excellent price - then it is still a hot deal

2) There are loads of big companies selling directly on ebay - eg Dell, Littlewoods, HP, Next...and plenty more small companies selling returns - often at excellent prices - what is wrong with those being advertised

Wondering what people think...

ebay is a rip off

The explanation is more complex but most people business models are crap leading to higher prices which means fewer people buy which means they cant afford to re-invest so there prices stay high, they cant buy in very big bulk leading to paying more per unit meaning a higher mark up price just to make very little profit for the mugs who buy.

I would never ever buy off a business on ebay.

You will always find it cheaper off ebay.

I would buy off an individual however.

NO, as yes ebay can provide some bargains, but self promotion is a risk the boards would be full of spam. Most importantly, it would be another platfom for scammers to ply their wares before getting caught and there are far to many about:)

Agree, it would become ebayukhotdeals

pointless topic anyway mods do whay you have been sworn to do under oath and get rid of this sh1t

Ebay deals are not applicable because simply put, for the majority only one person is going to benefit from it.
#4
And there is no comission or Quidco. lol
#5
It's really no different to the million "I saw this in my local store but they only had one, might be nationwide" threads that we've been getting lately with regards to one person benefiting from an Ebay listing.

Yeah true, but I think the op was referring to BIN'S on a mutiple scale is that right op?
So big business BIN's for mutiple buyers. So a good idea in theory
I would still stand by my first post, as however you would be getting a lot of scams and spam, so NO.

You mean this site is spam free? :-D

It'd give some people a spamming field day if it were allowed.

I disagree
I've bought plenty of things from ebay from businesses that I couldn't find cheaper anywhere.
I've sold plenty of things on ebay that you couldn't find anywhere cheaper, certainly not online, and I doubt offline.

I rarely sell on ebay now, but not for any of the reasons you mention!

To the OP, if ebay deals were allowed there would be loads more spam. Banning them for that reason alone is good enough for me

And ebay do have an affiliate scheme, so the site could make money if they wanted

Quidco pays upto 40%..

40% for winning a eBay auction or Buy It Now item. This amount is based on eBay revenue - not on the price you pay.

Why in the last month?

anyway

290297675677

350186826605

and will be buying 300320917277 for someone later this month for £500 (using best offer which the seller has already said he will accept). If you can find that anywhere cheaper it would be good!

2 people who have posted niche market products of very low value (all but 1 is under £10) (a couple of which I found cheaper by googling). Get real guys and girls your scrapping the bottom of the old barrel here.

Feel free to post the links, as i couldn't find mine any cheaper?

If you found the scooter cheaper as I say I would appreciate a link as to where from.

Basically you have gone from 'You will always find it cheaper off ebay' to 'You will always find it cheaper off ebay unless its a niche market, under £10 or you post an item number that shows different'

I have learnt my lesson. My comment was to general and for that I must be punished (in fact there are thousands or items on ebay it would not be difficult to prove me wrong), however ebay is rarely better then elsewhere. I am not anti ebay in fact I buy from and sell on ebay (although paypal are making it harder and harder for people to buy and sell) but the reality is that ebay is not the bargin place that everyone thinks it is and many many of the items on ebay can be found cheaper in a local shop or online.
