Had an item for sale on eBay, get asked a question about 2pm "am i open to offers" i reply yes feel free to make me an offer, so 10 mins later i get an offer, i tell them i will accept the offer as a private sale i end the eBay auction and he sends paypal as a gift.

They agree but ask me to explain how they send as gift, which i did, he then asks for my email address so he can send payment (by now it's around 3pm) i give him the email address and tell him to forward me his postal address so i can send the item.

I received payment but no address, i emailed him from his paypal addy asking for his address so i can send the item.

at 5 oclock i get an email asking if i have sent the item, i said i am still waiting for your address as it isn't on file with paypal, if you can send it to me before 5:20 i can make it to the post office.

And nothing............rant over

Ive just had some bint win a few auctions of mine, shes asked now, a day after they ended, if I can combine postage. if i say no, ill get negged to heck, but then why should i knock off anything. 99% of people ask first.

When you pay via Paypal gift it does NOT show the address for some strange reason.

Yep. I Empathise.

The time wasting on Ebay is really frustrating.

It's the lying 'Haven't received it yet' brigade that p1sses me off the most tho.

Also why is it that the majority of the ones that ask 'will you do it for such&such (lower price), after agreeing you then check out their address and it comes up with blah blah Farm or X House, where you KNOW that they have money. Specially the ones with D/barrelled names.

I had one today return an item that was "faulty". Clearly isn't the item I sent them but theres pretty much sweet FA I can do about it.

When people ask if I'm open to offers I say if you want to offer £20, why not just bid it and if you win then job done and everybody's happy.

I always leave my auctions to run to the end - much more fun, and fairer.

Glad it's not just me that has to put up with 'them'

It was a BIN auction i never put a best offer on either, i guess thats why he emailed to ask if i was open to offers.

because its cheaper for you

of course, I am assuming you would combine the items in 1 parcel but ignore my comment if you are going to post them all separately. ;-)

This is happening a lot more than usual with me recently, the newest one seems to have every other item go missing & only the ones that aren't sent recorded :whistling:
Wish I had read all the feedback before sending, have reported them to royal mail as its obvious what they are doing.
