I just hate it when i win something cheaply (well i love it) until that dreaded message that 80% of the time you get making an excuse such as sorry i dropped the item and its now broken or th latest i got was sorry our warehouse shelf collapsed and the games broke, anotehr i got was sorry i listed it twice (i checked and they hadnt)
I love a bargain but they just dont stick to it 80% of the time. Although i do love dishing the negative out to them without them beign able to give me it back (ebays new rules you know, everythign to the buyer no protection or options to the seller)
Any of you had this happen to you? if so what was the pathetic unbelievable excuse you received?

I'm more of a seller, and every time this happens where if I have to send an item out making little or no profit, I do it. It's only fair. I hate it when sellers mess people around. That's one thing I can't stand with eBay.

I won a Man City football boot signed by Colin Bell dirt cheap -
"Sorry we have mistakingly sent this item to the wrong person; in the meantime we have made a full refund and will contact you if we retrieve the boot"
4 weeks later - guess what the same (ahem) company had up for auction
So I contacted them
They replied
"The boot you won a few weeks ago was for the other foot"
I kid you not

So you complain when someone breaks the rules on ebay to save themselves some money.
But on the other hand you dont mind taking back a NEG feedback for cash:oops:?

why not? its hard times at the moment and why would i turn down a free five pound? the item was only worth 5 pound and sold for 99p.
at teh end of the day he done himself worse by not sellign the item to start with

I always send item for the end price, but I never start an auction from 1p or so so I'm not suprised at the end of auction. Once I won alloy wheel worth £100 for 99p and has received it next day and that's how it should be, if you are listing item for 1p you should expect selling it for that price, people are doing it to save money on ebay fees but this can be dangerous sometimes so be carefull.
