Because eBay are above the law like PayPal. They can do anything they want like extortionate fees and not allowing sellers to leave correct feedback for bad buyers. Luckily I have a shop as I would never sell on eBay as they are the legalized Mafia.

I agree- not being able to leave negative feedback for bad buyers is an absolute disgrace :x

Negative feedback for buyers lead to more scams,When people sold fake or damaged goods and a buyer negged them they often used the threat of negging the buyer to get their bad feedback removed,Getting rid of this is the best thing ebay ever did,Unless you sell fake goods of course,

Shame ebay used to be fun now they do and charge what they want. They are only interested in large sellers. The feedback system is a farce.:x

I think ebay did right thing by removing negative feedback for buyers.I personally mostly buy things and once I bought something that I paid for straight away, but didn't get it delivered for over 2 weeks.I left nautral feedback for seller due to late delivery and they gave me NEGATIVE feedback, because they lost 100% positive feedback themselves. That was something that really ****** me off and I was extremely pleased when ebay introduced new rules for not being able to leave negative feedback for buyers. After all, buyers pay you for products you sell,so what is wrong with that? How possibly can you leave negative feedback to someone who bought an item from you????

Easy
The buyer gets it delivered then puts a claim in through paypal
The buyer pays with a dodgy credit card
The buyer is using a hacked account
The buyer doesn't pay.

I meant genuine buyers, not scammers and fraudsters. This way negative feedback has no effect anyways, you need to involve police if that happens

I would love to see the police manage to keep a straight face if you went to them and said 'I sold something on ebay and he didn't pay, so I didn't send it, will you arrest him' :-D

Ebay did do the right thing with removing sellers the freedom to leave a neg

BUTTTTTTTTT

very big BUT

Sellers should be allowed to leave a neg IF the buyer doesnt pay, or is a timewasters. That way other sellers can see if a buyer is a timewaster. Because you as a seller LOSE your listing fees if you come across a damn timewaster.

I emailed ebay suggesting the above.

Anyway this is going off topic my question or arguement on THIS occasion is......

Feedback score is counted within 12 months If say you had a positive 13 months ago its NOT counted as a feedback so if you had 100 feedbacks all positive over 12 months ago then your feedback will show as 0% positive. BUT....if you had say 100 positive and 1 negative that happened over 12 months ago the negative is counted against your feedback score putting you in -% (minus percentage) but the positives are ignored.

Understand? bit confusing...

Not sticking up for Ebay but sticking up for buyers,Ebay used to be a decent place until every crook in the world realised it was easy pickings,

That's what the unpaid strike is there for, much more effective than a neg, as if the buyer has 2 you can block them:)

Like i say you cannot recoup your initial listing fees no matter what you do ie.. unpaid item strike..ect...ect. Youve lost money if you get a timewaster and i get a timewaster every month.
