Did it? by how much?

sounds about right to me, your pretty much talking 10% in fvf been that way for a while now, then there is listing fees on top and most likely paypal fees too as they make you accept it on most items now, can't even charge postage on a lot of things, its a bloody rip off.
#6
You get ripped by ebay first and paypal second, but some will say you do not have to use them. Where else can you sell ?.
#7
its 10% final value fee isnt it
#8
Final Valuation Fees are 20% at the moment!... I now refrain from selling items on ebay - especially high priced items, not worth it!!!

Theyre just cutting their own throats now. Mostly buy it now stuff thats cheaper elsewhere. imostly use auction houses now to sell nice stuff.
Someones bound to start a rival cheaper, better version soon, that would serve them right.

Yeah and you get offered a quarter of what you get on ebay,
#13
I sold a item for £250
ebay fees in total were £27
paypal fees £10

there taking like £40 for 1 item

half the time you cant put a postage cost on things now

Im shocked. Its the end for me on ebay for selling expensive stuff. I will only buy stuff or sell cheapo stuff.

Maybe useful, taken off the site:

If you're a private seller, when you sell your item in auction format, you will pay 10% of the item final selling price as the Final Value Fee, up to a maximum Final Value Fee of £50. If the item does not sell, there is no Final Value Fee.

Note: Stated eBay fees include 15% VAT for residents of the EU. This is calculated at the Luxembourg rate of VAT. Find out why. Usually invoices sent to you will quote fees with VAT included.

Different fees apply for eBay Motors. Please see the eBay Motors fees page for further details.

This is what makes me see red. Every year there ripping everyone off, bumping it up more and more. They know they havnt got any competitors, thats why. There profits must be huge? i mean all there paying for is rather large hosting, oh and a call centre in india which cant be more than 10k a year for 30 employees.

Like i said thats me done on there now.

i recently had a big bill, then realised that i had refunded some people for something, but had forgot to actually cancel the transaction officially, thus enabling mea refund of selling fees
