Last month I sold a Nokia N97 on eBay Buy It Now and got £330 for it. This weekend I've just been billed for the sale and have been charged £32.98 as a Final Valuation Fee, which works out at almost 10% of the sale!! On looking on the fee list on their site, on a Technology Buy It Now they quote the following:
5.25% of the initial £29.99 ( £1.57 ) + 3% of the initial £30.00 - £99.99 ( £2.10 ) + 2.5% of the initial £100.00 - £199.99 ( £2.50 ) + 2% of the initial £200.00 - £299.99 ( £2.00 ) + 1.5% of the remaining balance of the final selling price.
So from the above, I get it to £8.67, am I right or am I not reading the above statement right?
£1.57 + £2.10 + £2.50 + £2.00 + 50p for the 1.5% from £300 to £330 = £8.67
Let me know what your thoughts are and is 10% right!!
