Yes you can do that. I use photobucket.

I think you need to change the format to HTML and enter in your links to where your pictures are hosted when you are editing the body of your listing.

Sure on a forum you use [img ] [ / img] in order to make a picture show. When using ebay, you need to do something else to make the image show in the description

Right what i do is

Upload photos to photobucket
Do the listing as i would
Then decide where i want the photos in the listing and put the word HEREEEEEE where i want them.
Go to photobucket and copy the html code
Go back to your listing on your other screen, then on the description box click HTML
Where it says the word HEREEEEE delete it and paste in the html code from the photobucket site
Flick back to the normal description view and then resize if you want to.

Then its done, sounds a faff but it isnt that much hassle at all, all of about 30 sec job.

Nope! Stick them in the description....then its free!

Loads of people do this

ALSO

You can just copy & paste them in you don't need to put a link in dependent on your computer knowledge most find this easier

but I checked with Ebay ages ago, you can actually do it if your using it as a a way of better describing things or getting a better larger detailed view. eg. Screen shots of computer games, etc....

besides its only an outside link if it actually does link to something.

Go on ebay, everyone does it, the shops on there mostly all have their own backgrounds right? These backgrounds are built as a whole page to show off their company and their products. Find ANY shop on ebay that has a background and they have a picture of the item 'built' into the page. Shops and normal people alike have the same rule on this subject

I really don't get why people have not understood this? Its perfectly fine to have these pictures in, go look!

You really think ebay is fine with people by passing their payment system for posting pictures?

Depends...

Instead of uploading your pictures to eBay, you can use another Web service to host your pictures. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may give you some space on the Web where you can store your pictures. The Sell Your Item form has a field where you can enter the Web address (URL) of a picture hosted on the Web. That picture will be displayed in your listing. To display more than one externally hosted picture on eBay, you will have to use HTML in your listing.

Your picture file size should be under 50 KB (kilobytes) so that your item page will load quickly enough not to inconvenience buyers on slower Internet connections.

File transfer software, such as WS_FTP for PCs (includes eBay user reference guide) or Fetch Softworks for Macs may be required for uploading your picture file to your ISP or hosting service.

You know what I'm seriously past the point of caring...do it/don't do it I don't really care!

you seem to just want to argue about it...well fab but I don't.

If it helps the person that originally asked GREAT I'm glad I can be of use and I hope I have helped people, but I'm not on here to row over rules! I take it that you NEVER break any rules and always stick to speed limits and the such....blah, blah, blah.........

Argue as much as you want but I cannot be bothered to keep writing about why you can do this so feel free to moan all day but I cannot be bothered to even look at this thread again.

Lulu'smammy...hope it helps....ignore the 'you can't do that' crowd!
