also, this is classed as "overseas" isnt it even tho its still in uk?

or do you think i should say i dont send it outside of england????????????????

With you being new to ebay I would strongly advise against posting Overseas.
Southern Ireland will be as Europe, not cheap especially if you use International Signed For which will cost you an extra £3.50 ON TOP of the postage price.

I would just say:-
"Thank you for your question and interest in my item but I'm afraid this is a UK only auction".
Or
Just ignore them.

What I do when someone asks for postage cost to somewhere I don't really want to post it to, work out in general approx how much it will cost then bung a fiver on top just to cover me incase I got it wrong/hopefully put them off a little bit lol

if you dont want to post abroad then state that in your post, that way if they bid and win, you can refuse the transaction within your rights :)

It's better to go in to your settings and change it so that it blocks bidders from countrys to which you don't post, then they physically cannot bid. Doesn't always stop people PMing you asking for postage costs to x though!

i had somebody from ireland bid and win an auction and they paid by paypal straight away, they were happy enough to send me the extra cost to post overseas and all ended well

BUT if you are new to ebay and arent too sure about posting then i would go with Steve and politely say you dont post overseas

I have posted to Ireland lots of times and had no problem. Why not package it go to post office and ask how much it would cost. If this is too much of a problem then just ignore the email from the buyer :)
