Hiya, i ordered a skirt from ebay on the 7th of april. It didnt arrive within a week so i emailed the woman, she replied that she had posted it last week and if it hadnt arrived by wednesday she would track it at the postoffice.
Anyway it turned up today and the post date on the sticker says the 18th. Also it has dog hairs on and smelt of smoke. I really want to keep the skirt so dont want to send back as a refund. should i email her, why would someone lie and then send a item out so sort of bad condition?

Many Thanks in advance

What did the listing describe the condition as? To be perfectly honest, it sounds as though all it needs is a trip to the dry cleaners.

Maybe the dog hairs & smoke suggest that she was wearing it when you emailed her & prompted her to take it off & post it to you:giggle:

You can always leave negative feedback (explaining why you're unhappy).

It was described as used but excellent condition, if it had said smelt of smoke and covered in dog hairs i wouldnt have brought it. never mind! another lesson learnt!
cheers anyways

I have had this a couple of times with stuff I have bought off eBay so always now ask if it comes from a pet and smoke free household.

It’s just really frustrating isn’t it? I just don’t understand how people could send something out like that, id be dead embarrassed.

I would die if someone emailed me saying my clothes that i had sold were smokey and full of pet hairs.....if she was selling this skirt in this "excellent condition" i wonder what her clothes must be like........

the thing is there is some dirty people out there, i sold things on ebay and ive always made sure they were clean. I would never send anything out like that.

ah well a lesson learnt. thanx everyone for ur replys anyway....off to do the washing x he he

At least she has 'offered' a refund. Make sure you follow it up after Saturday as she is probably trying it on, why does she have to wait until she sees her does she not have a telephone.

The thing is with smokers and pet owners they are immune to the smell so they don't really realise they are sending smelly goods. Perhaps they weren't pet hairs......eeeeeewwwww
