Hey guys

Just a quick question for you experienced ebayers.....

One of our ebay items has been bought by an ebayer from Portugal. I understand its quite dangerous posting abroad as paypal doesnt protect you if the buyer tries to claim they haven't received it but if we use international signed for or international tracked, are we protected?
Is it worth the risk?

Thanks in advance :)

Depends what you're sending. I sell my family's old clothes on ebay and quite often send items abroad by normal email, I've had no trouble whatsoever either with items going missing or dodgy claims but if it's something more expensive you're sending like a mobile phone etc, then perhaps you might encounter more problems.

I have posted many things abroad with no problems. I always use International signed for and request a signature upon delivery.

You're protected from "item not received", but not from claims of unauthorised transactions, or use of a stolen card.

If the buyer has lots of good feedback, he's probably okay though.

You can no longer claim comp for mobile phones sent by Airsure or Int signed for.

buyer has 84 feedback so probs worrying about nothing....

the item is one of my gf's dresses that she doesn't want anymore. Its about 70 quid so not a massive amount but still, money we'd rather have than be conned out of!

I've sold lots of my kids Mini Boden clothing to people in the US. Just make sure that you use International Signed For or Airsure in order to cover yourself with paypal :).
