Until yesterday Ive never really been mega lucky with these things. But was on the way to collect daughter from nursery and in the window of the local oxfam shop was a sealed copy of the back to the future trilogy bluray! Went in and asked price-£3.49! lol

No idea why someone would donate something so recent and I dont think oxfam have caught on to bluray yet but thats my bargain of the year(unless zavvi do actually send out the forty quid wiis-I wait and see)

we have a small charity shop in a very small town near us and its run by 3 old dears who are very lovely but have no idea of the value of stuff and they just charge £1 for everything! i got new football tops for my son and couldnt believe it as they should have been at least £35 each (2 fromthe premier league and 1 scottish) i know it doesnt sound much but when you got a few kids and want to make them happy then this was a brilliant buy for us :)

I've had a few things from Car Boots...

NES, mint and boxed with ROB robot and about 25 games - £20
N64 with around 15 games (including conkers bad fur day and pokemon stadium 2) - £15

It's gettin much harder to grab the bargains now though, people wake up at what seems like 4am to get their the earliest!

Best is not mine but my parents, they bought a chest of drawers to use as storage in the garage for £5 or so from someone who does house clearances when they got them home there was £160 in crisp new £20's under the lining paper.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a brand new pair of homeplug adapters for £2, and also once bought a LCD monitor (only 15") for £1.50 but had no stand which was ideal as I was looking to turn an old PC into a Jukebox in a cabinet over the winter (still on my to do list).

Also had a brand new UPS (uninterruptable power supply) for £10 (retailed for about £120 at the time.

A mate got a PS2 for 80p.

AS for ebay an original [email protected] Jones treadle sewing machine in Art Deco cabinet for £1, needed a £2 spring to fix it.

But the best of all deals?

2 mispriced King Size beds and mattresses for £2 from Debenhams - arrived the day we moved house and I broke the old bed dismantling it to move, so a bargain as it was much needed too (although didnt know this at the time of ordering) the other went to my parents
