When i sell something on ebay..

Paypal hold the funds for 21 days..

If i dont print a postage label but still send the package in my local post office...

How can i inform paypal or ebay that the item has been dispatched?

Or do i have to print a postage label...

Also what do i do with a postage label once i have printed it...

Thanks for any help.. :D

You can mark the item as dispatched from the ebay screen. Makes no odds to PP, they will only release funds on POS fb, not dispatch notice.

How do i mark it as dispatched?

Also when will paypal release the funds? I dont think i understood that bit..

on 'My Ebay' go to sold, then click the drop down menu to the right hand side of your listing and it should say 'Mark as Dispatched'

If you go to your sold item there is a bit at the end of the line which has a drop down menu. From there select item dispatched. I've never had paypal hold funds so not sure about that.

PUT IT ON THE PARCEL AND POST IT :?

it will also print out a proof of posting certificate take that with you to the post office and get them to stamp it. (It proves you've actually sent it should you have to make a claim with the royal mail further down the line in the event it gets lost.)

To be honest, there really isn't much advantage to printing labels at home if you are going to line up at the post office anyways. I print labels at home all the time for cheap items that is small enough to put in a mail box so I don't have to line up at the PO. If the item is too big or is expensive, I need to line up at the post office anyways so I just don't bother wasting my ink, paper, tape, and time to print the labels myself.
