whats the item number?
#2
did he list it with a postage cost?
#3
Not sure about games but if you're selling a dvd it won't allow you to input a postage charge.
#4
i sold some games about a month back and could charge postage, altough it was limited to £2 or £3 i think......all depends on wether it was listed with postage?

300330213790 is the item number

it clearly states it's free p&p but I havnt checked out yet as he has sent me an invoice with £2 odd p&p charges and I can't edit it.

report him

he is trying to work around it,with the other courier option, stating you must choose recorded

Yep he cant do that, contact the seller first, try to come to an arrangement by getting free postage if not then tell him you are not going through with the transaction. I wouldnt report him straigt away try to communicate first.
#8
He is stating that he can only accept recorded as the postage method. I like his style lol
If you don't like, don't bid.

No if he want's to post recorded, which is wise, he needs to factor that into the start price.

he is also stating that he is not responsible for items lost in the post, which is another load of tosh as we all know

biggest joke ever,he is offering a discount if you pay by cheque/po
#15
Seeing as I was bored i've reported him as well with a note to check his other listings too. As his items are BIN it's not exactly difficult to include 2nd class recorded into the price (+ the added fees).

tbf the guy has good feedback. He looks like someone who doesn't paticularly care if he gets suspended as he realises that ebay have made it neigh on impossible for him to make a worthwhile sale.
How does the guy win? Offer free p+p and factor that into the start price? Yeah, and end up with no bids. And even if he does do standard postage FOC, he knows he is going to get screwed over most of the time with the old "it was lost in the post" line.
His only option is to offer free recorded delivery, which pretty much kills his profit margin. At the end of the day, he would be better off to just give it up as a joke.
I feel for the guy tbh

What a load of rubbish are you sure you not the seller

nah, I dont use ebay now for the very reasons I stated above. Its a complete and utter waste of time for trying to sell video games and DVDs now.
Not everyone is solely out to financially rape the seller. I have a conscience and dont mind paying a fair price.
#19
Up to you if you think it's worth paying or not. What's the betting it doesn't turn up if you don't pay for recorded?
He can't neg you so he stands to lose more than you do.

Defo worth reporting to ebay in any case for sneaky tactics.

RECORDED POSTAGE MUST BE CHOSEN OR I WONT SEND GAME.....sorry

Realise that a lot of people had P+P @ £3-4 for some games and DVD's which is ridiculous.

So why did Ebay make it free P+P, surely they could have made it £1.20 maximum cost. This would cover a jiffy bag and the 90p postage costs.

A: No fvf on p&p
B: The people at ebay are on another planet.

People would have still moaned if they had set a top limit. Go figure

I dont see the problem. 1st class recorded is £3, 2nd class rec is is £2.

It clearly states in huge letters:-

Because, you are not allowed to force a charge on games the seller cannot make the buyer pay postage as they are listed with a free postage option. If the buyer want's free postage, seller cannot force it otherwise, if he really want's to use recorded, he should factor it into the start price, he cannot force buyers to pay it afterwards.

I see what you are saying and agree but I just wouldnt have bought the item as its clear to me that I wont receive it without paying so it would just be wasting the sellers and my time.

busy bodies just out looking for trouble because they dont have satisfaction or happy lives unless they bring these "criminals" down with them

has he learnt yet or is he still trading exactly the same?

i think there are other more important things in life which deserve this kind of attention and commitment myself

very sad

edit : he updated his wording

RECORDED MUST BE CHOSEN OR I WONT SEND....sorry

THIS IS BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT CLAIM FOR A MISSING ITEM IF RECORDED POST IS NOT CHOSEN..... NOT MY FAULT

not sure who you are siding with there.

to me, the obvious 'criminals' are ebay in inflicting zero P&P charges on sellers. it obviously costs money to post and I wouldnt dream of posting anything from an ebay sale without recorded delivery due to the scammer heaven they have created.

weve agreed to cancel the sale through ebay now,ive let them know about his bending of the rules though ;-)
