I sold an item on ebay, the guy sent a E-cheque through paypal that will clear in about 11 days, i just got a message saying

"Hello
I'm sorry to disturb you again but I've just notice that my bank account isn't link to paypal because I've changed it. But I can pay you immediatly with my credit card. What do you think about it? I'm sorry to ask you this question but I want to make sure that everything is perfect for both of us.
Have a nice evening"

Hes from France btw, i know for a fact that when your bank isnt linked to your account it does send a e-cheque because its happened to me but should i tell he has to wait for the cheque to clear or accept a new payment? obviously the new payment wont be linked to the item so he might be able to charge back, im not sure what to do!

Continue with the E-Cheque
Only cancel the cheque if he can pay by putting his card on Paypal and starting a new payment
It's quite long to wait but it's their fault for not setting it up right so they will just have to wait.

Whatever you choose to do just make sure you send international signed for!

lol how can he pay by card you dont have a card machine at home like shops do, tell him if hes having probelms to use a mates paypal to pay it and then he can give the money to his mate, no loss to his mate

sounds like a scam to me.

If you refund the original payment, he will be able to pay again & it will be linked to the item in exactly the same way as the first payment was. Not sure exactly what you think the problem is?

according to RM website

Internation signed for

is only tracked within the UK

but airsure confirms the delivery to the doorstep of their house, so i guess ill go for that, costs a pound more.

I presumed he meant he wanted to fund his next paypal payment from his credit card?
#9
What did you sell (if you dont me asking?), Let the payment clear or refund him and ask him to confirm his bank account and credit card, Then pay again. If its a mobile phone, Royal mail wont insure it when sending to international countries.

international signed for means you get a sig at their end - costs £3.50 extra min.

i cant refund it untill ive got it (on the 31st)

Im tempted to tell him to do one.. and just call off the trade because his address isnt verified.
