i recently got a elite from ebay with a seller that has 100% feedback thought no problem .item arrived when my brother opened it up turned it on there was a disc inside pes 2008 the seller then contacted me asking for it back that it was his friends (even though its ment to be a company ????so i agreed to send it back and the seller would send me £5 for fees p+p petrol etc so i sent it first class had a email asking where it was 5 days later i replyed that i had sent the item heared nothing since that was 4th feb now ive had a email :
I have waited for a long while now, and there is no sign of pro evolution
soccer. I know sending it was my mistake, but I do not think that is very
fair I haven't recieved it back after you charged me £5 for this. Can you
please explain what has happened, as I will not be taking this matter lightly.

To be honest if you sent the item then you do not have anything to hide... so just explain to himthat you have sent it... Though to be fair 5 pounds for standard delivery is a bit fishy even for me ...! however, give the guy his money back and tell him what happened and you should be fine ...

You're not to blame. :)

Did you put a return label on the package? If so, if it's genuinely lost then it might be returned to you.

If you want to be helpful, you could ask him to confirm the address you sent the item to, to double check you sent it to the right place. Also ask him if there is any chance that someone else could have picked up the package, put it to one side or whatever.

If you want to go the extra mile, then you could always contact Royal Mail, although where you only posted it First Class, the chances of them finding it are slim. They ask you to wait 15 working days before reporting an item though.

That's kind of you. :)

I am not sure what else he can do to be honest.

Did you get proof of posting or send it recorded - if you did tell him you have proof and scan it and send it to him or post it if you trust that method and always get proof of posting If you send anything by mail.

PS have you checked the machine works yet ?

then again maybe he hasnt got it yet, today I got a camera case that was posted in Ausust 2007!!! anythings possible with the numpties royal mail hire nowadays

An EBAY scam??? As far as ebay scams go, it isn't a good one.

The seller sends something that the buyer is under no obligation to send back. :?

You have done the right thing and there is nothing else he can do. even if sending an item standard 1st class you can get proof of delivery so you can show this to anyone who has not received an item you have sent and also used to claim up to £32 from royalmail if item is lost
